"i love him."
"did you say it?"
"of course not! are you crazy?"
"pfft. then what's the point?" minghao munched on his sandwich messily. a few crumbs falling from the side of his mouth.
joshua scrunched his nose at that. disgusted.
"you know, you should just tell him." wonwoo shrugged, closing his laptop with a sigh. his glasses dangling from his shirt's neck, which he chose to take no notice of.
"let me repeat myself. are you crazy!?" joshua looked at his best friends in disbelief. were they even his best friends at this point?
"what else did you expect from us? you gave us a problem we gave you a solution." wonwoo shrugged, "and besides, we're far from the dramatic type. did you expect some screams and squeals kind of reaction?"
"uh, KINDA? since you're my best friends?" joshua grumbled, chewing on a piece of lettuce.
"yeah no, we don't have enough energy for that. plus we kind of already had an idea. not a shocker really." wonwoo, slid the bowl of salad towards joshua. passing him his glass of orange juice as well.
"you what? HOW? when? why? you never told me?! you should've-"
"calm down, barbie. it's not that big a deal." wonwoo looked around the cafe, bowing his head in an apology. "did you forget how to behave?"
"stop calling me barbie! where did you get that from anyway?" joshua jabbed his elbow in wonwoo's arm.
minghao smiled apologetically at the two girls who were about to sit at the table behind them but then quickly changed to one at the far end. "i'm not with them!"
"from your hair of co-"
"guys. the important matter? for which we're gathered here?" minghao's hand was on his head, blocking his face from the people in the cafe, eyes shifting to see if people were looking. "you guys are embarassing." he mumbled.
"yes, right, the matter. just tell him." wonwoo glared at the strawberry blond.
"yeah, no." joshua glared back, "and how did you guys know?"
minghao scoffed, "we're not blind. we could literally see everything."
"no, actually, literally everything. even seung-" wonwoo's words came out jumbled, minghao had stuffed his last bit of the sandwich in wonwoo's mouth. quite mercilessly.
"eat something, wonwoo." minghao smiled menacingly as joshua stared wide eyed, his jaw hanging wide at the scene.
wonwoo spat out the remaining bits that he could not swallow. coughing wildly with a glare directed towards the red head.
"what? i thought you look famished." minghao shrugged, watching joshua hand over the glass of juice to wonwoo.
wonwoo straight up devoured the glass of juice.
but of course, the trio being them, if this wasn't enough chaos from them, wonwoo accidentally toppled the glass over joshua, as the strawberry blond was the one actually holding it.
"oh lord, just take me!" minghao cried banging his head against the table. "the washroom's that way." he mumbled from the table, his finger pointing in a direction without looking for the blond to follow.
joshua got up, leaving the two to bicker over their own miseries, and headed towards the washroom.
the blond walked out of the washroom, his shirt lowkey still wet, but whatever, he tried his best. you could still see a slight patch of orange on the blue. he was still dabbing a piece of tissue against the patch.
