"it's," he glanced towards the poem, then back at jeonghan, "beautiful." he whispered.

jeonghan looked at joshua. his breath uneven, he bit down on his lips, mind rushing. his mouth curved up slightly before he took a step back. and then another step.

joshua was too busy staring at the maroon head under the golden lights to comprehend whatever he said. the maroon head looked away, his eyes closed-taking in a deep breath.

"joshua," that caught Joshua's attention, he blinked a few times to clear his vision and look at the professor. "you should go sleep."

the room was awfully silent. the only sound being the ticks of the second hand in the wall clock. the two stood quite still, both breathing equally heavy.

the cherry blond took a step forward, tracing the ones jeonghan moved away from. he stood 2 steps away from the maroon head.

"why didn't you want me to come in here?" he took a step forward, "professor?" jeonghan took a step back.

"privacy."

"doesn't look like that to me." the cherry head took another step forward, forcing jeonghan to take one back.

"jeongha-"

"joshua." the professor held Joshua's shoulders to keep him from moving. "go. to. your. room." he squeezed a little before letting him go- striding towards the other side of the desk. "come on." he spoke, louder this time. his hand held out for joshua to take.

the cherry blond sighed, his mind telling him to just follow the lead. he took the maroon head's hand as he was led out of the room. jeonghan shut the lights and locked the door behind him.

the professor crossed his arms across his chest. eyes taking in the cherry blond as he stepped towards his room.

he was about to resign towards his own room when the blond stopped im his tracks and turned around to look past jeonghan. a wide grin took over his face in an instant as he rushed past him.

"it's raining!" joshua pushed open the window- sticking his hand out to let the drops soak into his palm.

"what?" jeonghan looked out the window, and surely it was raining. the pitter patter now turning loud and clear.

he sighed, walking up to the blond. his eyes trained entirely on him.

"it's midnight and you're excited about rain?" he stopped next to the blond, "you should go back to sleep."

"nah, I'm fine. this might be the last rain of the season," he grinned, wiggling his fingers to splash the water around. "im gonna enjoy this. you can go sleep."

"what do you mean by 'enjoy this'?"

"believe me, professor," he pulled his hand back and sprikling some water on the maroon head, "you don't wanna know." his smile widened before he took off, practically sprinting down the stairs.

poor jeonghan had no choice but the tumble behind him. an unexpected grin taking over his face.

the maroon head glided across the floor board, the front door swinging after joshua ran out of the house.

jeonghan stepped outside, shutting the door closed behind him.

it was practically pouring. his frontyard already damp and he could smell the earthy scent from the wetness. his eyes scanned around the area to look for the blond.

the downpour making it hard to figure out objects- there he was.

in the middle of the street, his eyes closed and head tilted up. the streetlamp making it easier to spot him.
