there were a lot of things Joshua would believe true that were incredibly ridiculous, but this? this ordeal they had worked out was not one of them.

being locked out of his dorms because of his professor and having to spend the night in the said professor's house? this series of unfortunate events would make Joshua from a month ago laugh. however, the joshua in the present was nowhere near amused, far from it. he was about a second close to bursting out screaming at the top of his lungs by the silence that had bestowed upon them in the car.

what was jeonghan thinking? inviting a student over to his house?

better question, what was JOSHUA thinking accepting the offer??

well, seeing the circumstances there was no other option left for joshua. it was either this or sleeping on the bench in front of the dorms in 11 degrees. yeah, no.

"do you intend to spend the night in my car?"

"what?" joshua looked to his side, to his surprise the door was open with jeonghan's hand outstretched for him to take.

when did they stop?

"right." joshua pushes the professor's hand to the side, getting out of the car himself, his bag hanging off his shoulder. he glances up at the house in front of them.

jeonghan sighs closing the door before making his way a step behind joshua.

it was a normal house you would see in the rows of a street. almost identical to the one next door and the one across the street, the one down the street, the one in the next street.

each one looked identical except for maybe the front yard. jeonghan's front yard had lilies and a notably decent fence around it. the one next door seemed to care less about their fencing needs.

joshua steps towards the front of the house from the garage to take a good look at it.

brown rustic exterior, white columns wrapped around with flowers and veils. the front porch had a small couch and a coffee table that looked cozy enough to snuggle in at the night.

"after you, Mr. Hong" jeonghan held open his door, gesturing for joshua to take the lead into the house which joshua did comply with.

once inside, jeonghan led him towards the living room. the inside was far too homey than joshua imagined. a white fluffy couch in front of the classic fireplace, the tv right above the fireplace, a big window looking out at the front yard, the shelves stacked with books and photo frames.

it was an open planned room, the dining and kitchen connected to the living room.

"make yourself at home." jeonghan took off his coat, letting it fall against the couch, his bag being placed into a cabinet next to the fireplace.

organised. just like jeonghan.

jeonghan gestured for joshua to follow him out the living room and up the stairs. four doors, two on either sides.

"this," jeonghan gestured towards a brown door with an intricately designed knob, "is my room."

joshua nodded, studying the detailes on the knob.

"that, is the library." he pointed to the door next to his room. a brown door, identical to his except the door knob was simple.

"you have your a library?" joshua gaped back and forth between jeonghan and the library.

"yes."

"in your house?"

"yes."

"why?"
