note : the italics are seungcheol's inner thoughts.
it was 2 days after joshua's breakdown in seungcheol's apartment and nothing much had happened after that. joshua had stayed with seungcheol for the two days, the brunette bringing him everything he required. clothes, food, notes, books, canvases, colors, anything and everything. both of them suffering from unrequited love. minghao and wonwoo would visit the two after seungcheol explained what happened over a call. joshua did not feel like doing anything but just binging shows and movies, eating his favourite food, painting, reading. he did everything to take his mind off a certain maroon head but every time that man seemed to find a way back to his mind.
and finally it was time to go back to college as they still had the fest which was in 1 week. joshua was required to attend the meeting to go through their progress and make sure they get the stuff before the deadline.
"are you sure you want to go?" seungcheol asked the same question for the third time now.
"yessss." joshua stretched out the 's' for the sake of it. he was tired with the question but still found the brunette sweet as hell regardless.
"okay. call me after it's over. we'll walk to class together." he made it sound like joshua had no choice.
"you have calc 1 and i have thermodynamics both on different ends of the campus, i'm sure that's not the best idea." joshua chuckled, there was no way in hell he'd let the boy travel that much just to drop him off. he wasn't broken or something.
"don't care."
"shut up. go to class." joshua stood in front of him. his hands on his hips as he glared at the boy.
"but-"
"get to class." he left no room for argument, looking at him with narrowed eyes and pursed lips. looking at him as if he'd done something wrong.
it burns.
"i'll see you later." seungcheol smiled, it didn't reach his eyes. they didn't sparkle. nor did dimples appear.
"yes. have fun!" joshua didn't notice. he gave him a quick hug before parting ways.
still didn't notice the eyes following him. nor the soft sigh. the slouched back or the watery eyes. he didn't see his grief. he did not see his pain.
it burns without you.
he turned and walked out of campus. he lied. he didn't have a lecture at that time. he had only one calc class that was at 12. he didn't want to leave joshua to walk alone to a lecture. not when he saw how sad he was. not when he understood him perfectly.
please love me.
he walked past the football ground, making his way towards the back of the locker rooms, he leaned against the wall, his mind running a million thoughts an hour as he waited. waited for someone.
in no time he heard the crunching of leaves followed by heavy pants.
"what do you want?" the girl panted. her newly dyed blond hair sticking to her forehead with the sweat trickling down it.
"you know what i want." he turned to look at her. his eyes narrowed and lips pulled back to a smirk. an eerie one that would make anyone uncomfortable.
"i- i don't understand."
"the pictures." he extended his palm towards her. gesturing for her to hand him her phone.
"what pictur-"
the brunette took a huge step forward making the girl stumble back. her back hitting the wall, eyes wide with surprise at the boy's move. everyone knew seungcheol was a softie but right now? he looked anything but.
