Y/n and her group pushed through the winds and sand of the desert. Y/n found it was easiest to keep her head down to keep the sand from blowing into her eyes, only to be scolded by Cyno stating that she needs to be aware of her surroundings and be aware of danger.

The group seemed to be carrying along fine for the most part. Tighnari, though had some difficulties with his ears and now he kept them firmly tucked back. The sand of the desert were relentless. They thrashed around the group aggressively, Y/n could have sworn she felt her exposed skin cut up from the sand.

"Alright, our first destination should be somewhere around here." Cyno announced glancing around. Nothing.

"What do you mean, there's no entrance anywhere." Kaveh said annoyed.

"Hmm." Cyno noticed a small mechanism in the near distance. "Hold on." He said as he read the inscriptions aloud.

"Those mortals dare or wish to enter the Glazing Sand Tombs shall recall the following script..." Cyno squinted at the tablet.

"Is something the matter?" Alhaitham asked uninterested.

"No. I can read this but I don't recognize the passage." Cyno shook his head in frustration.

"Read it aloud." Alhaitham suggested.

"The sands of the Desert lashes to those who deny their true self. Like water and ice eroding at rock. The lie breaks, the truth leaks." Cyno finished.

"What? What does that mean?" Kaveh asked astonished.

"It basically means that eventually all truths are revealed and lies vanish." Alhaitham explained.

"Anyone recognize the text?" Cyno asked exhausted.

Y/n raised her hand slightly. "Well say it aloud and if it's right the passage should be revealed to us." Cyno urged.

"I think it might be 'The River Flows Faster Than The Sands.' Just a guess though..." Y/n responded.

Nothing happened. "Great, Now wha-" The ground started shaking.

Everyone attempted to scramble towards the sides to little avail. The ground split open and everyone fell. Not terribly far though.

"Ow." Kaveh whined as he rubbed his back. The group rose and started to converse discussing their next plan of actions. Y/n decided to look around. The room was large and it had many depictions of priests and such. Y/n eventually assumed they had stumbled into a burial sight of an important figure. Probably from the Deshret Kingdom.

She thought that was it until she saw a painting of a beautiful goddess with waves beside her bringing to shore a variety of items like fish, pelts, fruits, and other small trinkets. There were smaller figures in front of her kneeling wearing less grand of clothes. But more notable were the three other figure beside the one goddess. A female with horns on her head and flowers surrounding her, a man with a animal helmet that of which looked similar to Cyno's, and a long white haired female dressed in green surrounded by other plants. Lastly, there was the Hydro Archon? This is King Deshrets land though, what was Focalors doing outside of Fontaine? Maybe visiting her friends? But why would she leave her nation uncared for to socialize?

"Hey, uh... Do you guys think this is important at all?" Y/n called to the group, pointing at the painting.

Cyno walked closer, inspecting the wall. "This confirms we are in the right place." Cyno let out a relieved sigh.

"Okay great, but why is the Hydro Archon in this painting? From what I know she wasn't aggressively worshiped by King Deshret's people." Y/n voiced her concerns.

"It it said that King Deshret had a close connection with three friends. The Goddess of Flowers, Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, and Focalors. The fourth person, I am unsure who this is meant to represent though." Cyno furrowed his eyebrows.

"What I am sure of though, is that we need to get moving again." Cyno walked away from the wall and deeper into the corridors of the ruins. Eventually, they reached a room large enough to host a party. Large symbols and painting stretched across the walls.

Every one was seemingly mesmerized by the art. Cyno continued searching the area.

"Cyno, I may have found something." Tighnari announced, drawing everyone's eyes to him. They grouped around the ranger as he handed the scripture to Cyno.
