The sun was barely above the horizon when Kaveh walked into the living room. Alhaitham was reading on the couch opposite of Y/n. Kaveh gave a not so discrete glare at the pair and walked into the kitchen to make coffee.

Cyno and Tighnari followed shortly after. After everyone settled down with their coffee and breakfast, Tighnari started to pick up on the tense atmosphere between Alhaitham, Y/n, and Kaveh. Tighnari casted an awkward glance to Cyno who simply shrugged.

"So, what did you three get up to this morning? Did something happen?" Tighnari asked inquisitively. His ears pricked slightly in anticipation.

Y/n locked eyes with Alhaitham for a moment and he raised his eyebrows in caution. "Oh, uh. Nothing." Y/n shrugged. Her gaze dropped to the dark liquid in her cup.

"Huh. Is that right?" Tighnari raised his brows and decided to ignore it.

Cyno glared at the group before leaning back in the chair and crossed his arms. Alhaitham looked up from his book when a silence engulfed the room. Cyno spoke first, "Our best course of action is to regroup with Dehya. We can then leave the city after we relay our plan to her." Cyno concluded.

Everyone seemed to agree with the plan, the atmosphere still smothering Y/n. Y/n smiled politely and excused herself to get her belongings together to leave. Really, it was mostly a chance to be able to get away from Cyno's dark glares. She quickly strolled down the hallway to Kaveh's room to retrieve her things. She heaved a sigh of exhaustion after packing her belongings. She hadn't been able to sleep last night due to being at the Forbidden Library. She turned to leave and opened the door to enter the hallway. She was in the middle of adjusting her bag on her shoulder when about walked into another figure. Her eyes met the gaze, immediately recognizing the white haired matra.

Cyno firmly grasped her shoulder and pushed her back into the room, shutting the door behind himself. He let go promptly and crossed his arms. Y/n rubbed the tender spot from where his thumb dug into her collarbone. "Do you need something?" Y/n said irritated to be shoved into a room.

"Yes, I do. Kaveh is acting rather strangely. Do you know anything about it?" Cyno asked irked.

"No. He is acting weird though..." Y/n lied, her fist clenching the bags' strap.

"Huh, alright. I'll ask Alhaitham about it. I'm sure he knows something." Cyno shrugged rather jerkily.

"Okay... Sounds good." Y/n took a cautious step around Cyno's figure expecting him to stop her again, but her didn't.

Cyno watches her leave the room and he stays still for a moment, analyzing the conversation. It was quite obvious she was nervous. From the way her hand gripped her bag, to the way she shuffled her feet every couple seconds. His suspicion heightened from the interaction. It was obvious she knew more than she let on.

------------

Y/n heaved a sigh when she made it out to the living room and saw everyone was ready to go. "Everything alright?" Tighnari asked as his ear twitched.

She must have still been pale from the interaction with Cyno. "Yes. I'm okay, thank you." Y/n smiled at her companion who simply nodded and returned the gesture.

Once Cyno entered the living room, he ushered the group out the doors to find Dehya. Fortunately, it didn't take long to find her with her constant rambling over the safety of a young lady with her.

"Dehya." Cyno called her over and she obliged.

"What's up? Anything thing new?" Dehya greeted glancing over her shoulder to the woman she was with. She seemed satisfied to find the brunette woman watching a dancer preform.
