"I don't know who was scarier—" Heeseung leaps, dodging the zodiac's attack. He casts water and the goat slips, losing balance and missing his target. "You or Cerberus."
The enemy scoffs and wields out his golden dagger again, but this time, they light up aflame. They fly towards the wizard but Heeseung is quick-witted, summoning a wall from the ground.
The wizard rounds the corner and blasts fire balls at the goat. The enemy scowls and wields out a oddly shaped rapier. "You have great defenses as an elemental wizard." Capricorn comments. "But I've met many of your kind." His eyes sharpen.
"Elemental wizards are now rare in the present that we speak of." Heeseung lightly drags the staff on the floor.
"Such a shame. Either way, you'll be part of their extinction." His tone tangles with viscous venom. He charges forward and Heeseung blasts more fire balls along with summoning a tornado.
To the wizard's surprise, all of his magic spells disappeared. The tip of the enemy's sword emits a small smoke. Heeseung's eyes narrow at the sight.
Annoyed, he raises his staff and summons a tsunami upon the goat. He carefully observed from a distance. The rapier in the zodiac's hand is unique, a weapon he's never seen. Perhaps something the immortals have.
By the time the waves are towering Capricorn, he thrusts his sword, the water disappearing and sucked into the sword like it was nothing.
"Have you figured it out, boy?" He grins, charging at him full speed. Heeseung entraps him in a stone cave but that is also broken, the enemy ready. "This sword cancels out any elements of this world." He cackles, leaps and thrusts the sword in such inhumane speed. There's cuts and punctures everywhere on his body, pain blooming with each strike.
Heeseung tries his best to protect himself, using a wind barrier. The zodiac expected it, canceling out the magic. He stabs straight into Heeseung's shoulder and pulls out.
The boy shouts in pain, using the wind element to push the latter as far as he could, it was decently successful to say the least. With the enemy a considerate distance away from Heeseung, the wizard tries to find some type of loophole to defeat the man with a sword.

"Elemental wizards are creative with their powers." Heeseung listens to his teacher carefully, taking every word and knowledge into mind. He's always been hungry for knowledge. A world with supernaturals and magic is one to have endless wonders.
"May I ask how, miss?"
She stops writing on the chalk board, turning around and smiling at Heeseung. "Meet me after class, I can't let the lesson put on hold." She lightly laughs. The boy nods excitedly.

The sound of chalk sliding against the board echoes in the room, his teacher drawing out the possible combinations between the four elements. She stands back and speaks. "There have been elemental wizards in the past to come up with unique magic to aid them for protection," Heeseung looks at the board, admiring the way elements can bend so easily with the control of someone's will, science, and magic. His mentor watches him, adorned by how excited the boy gets when he gets to learn.
You're a special kid, Heeseung. I have a wonderful student.
"Six possible combinations." She finally says. Heeseung's brows furrowed, leaving the older questioning his thoughts.
"What happens if you combine all of them together?" He suddenly prompts. His teacher chuckles, expecting a question like that.
"Well, it needs to be practiced well enough. No one has achieved to know what all the four elements do when they're combined. A strenuous task requires experience and weighing factors."
By the time he left campus, he saw Soobin waiting outside. "You still waited for me?" The air wizard jumped, startled.
"You took forever! What were you even doing?" The taller scolds him. "I know you're obsessed with learning, but please, at least let your brain breathe!" Soobin continues as they walk home together.
"Oh nothing, I just had some thoughtful questions." The latter smiles widely.
That day, Heeseung swore he'd be the first wizard to find out the wonders of this world.
𖤍
Gripping his staff, the boy uses the tool to trace a square in the air, each point summoning an element. Capricorn watches with a flat expression, whipping his sword in the air.
"It's not going to make—" The zodiac stops when a surge of energy comes from Heeseung, the wizard focussing all of his powers into the elements. He watches as they're forced together, trying to repulse but Heeseung keeps egging on with his energy.
Both parties notice how the attempt to combine all four elements grows unstable, seeing friction and energy building upon pressure and magic.
"Capricorn, let's see if I'll change elemental wizard knowledge." Heeseung huffs, grinning with an exhausted expression. The zodiac is quick to run at the boy, trying to stop whatever trick he's trying to pull. His guts tell him it's too dangerous and powerful for both to handle. He's going end it himself and hopefully kill the dangerous boy in the process.
Unexpectedly, sharp rocks fall from the ceiling, stopping the zodiac in his path. He was sure that it's a handful for wizards to manage five elements at the same moment. Four combining into one, and now Heeseung is controlling the earth element on the other objective.
Capricorn thrusts the rapier to the stones, vanishing, but by the time he sees the boy, a large reactive magic of elements is right before him. With an attempt to use his sword, it breaks in contact.
No such thing can break this sword!
The ball of energy explodes on impact, only the zodiac caught in it. Heeseung watches at the enemy flies, rolling onto the broken floor, dark energy leaving his body.
With a sigh, Heeseung collapses onto the ground. The wizard feels as if he went through a day of some type of boot camp.
Never again... maybe.
Body feeling numb, he fights to stay awake. He's completely wasted of mana. A sound of the door clicks, and he stands, exiting. Heeseung sees everyone, but doesn't bother inspecting the current situation everyone's focused on, exhausted as ever.
"Guys, I'm going to take a short nap if you don't mind..." Heeseung lies on the floor trying to get comfortable. To his dismay, someone as cruel as a demon nudges to wake him up.
"Hey, go check on Jake. Before Sunghoon comes and tricks you into signing some contract with some evil devil." Niki jokingly threatens, prompting the wizard to get up and enter Taurus's chambers.
By the time Heeseung opens the door, he finds Jake laying on the floor, bloody and sees bruising skin, indicating possible internal bleeding. Possible fractures and broken bones observed from the wizard. "God— is there a fight when you don't break your bones???" Heeseung, unfortunately, can't heal the boy when he's completely out of mana. Though both elemental and using enchantments, enchantments strain the most energy compared to his normal abilities. He thinks he may exert himself to knock out for three days if so.
"Where's Sunghoon to pick you up?" He shakes his head, huffing.
