Chapter 9: The Royal Wedding

It is mid-August, Ana could tell Nash was getting a bit worried about the bridal part of Tarna's and with it only three days away. Ana could tell it was making Nash very nervous especially since Nash agreed to sing for Tarna and Ana said to her "Honey, it's only for like two and a half minutes... It's not like she is asking you to sing for the whole night..." Nash nodded as Ana was driving to the palace as they agreed to help with the bridal party and the wedding to ease Tarna's stress being pregnant and Ana slightly looked at Nash who was still worried and Ana said to her assuring her "Honey... You are a great singer... Never listen to what Gap said... He only said that to control you..." Nash replied to her "I know... But... I did believe that for years..." Ana frowned and said to her "Nash, I am telling you that you are a great singer, hell, even our music teacher said you had a great voice. Don't think what Gap said to you on a daily basis but think what I am telling you. Tarna wouldn't be asking you to do this if she didn't think you had a great voice." Nash nodded still worried and Ana decided to change the subject "I gotten the call from that director friend... He has agreed to the terms of taking Gap out of the movie of those horses. So they will be start looking into production by next year most likely." Nash looked relieved to hear about this and Ana said to her "I asked them which one they were going to start and they are stuck between Mariane or Warlocks, but he said he will give me a call when they have a vote." Nash looked unsure herself since Dappled Warlocks was an undefeated superstar in his own right, being undefeated in 26 starts with 26 wins, winning multiple Group One races, including the Triple Crown, while Lovely Mariane was a horse that was in her own league, she had the biggest heart and will to win, that she never finished off the board in all her 30 starts while winning 26 of those races, including the Triple Crown against the boys, but she also had 22 foals and all those 22 horses also won the Triple Crown. Ana could tell Nash was thinking about Warlocks and Mariane and Ana said to her "I'm sure they will figure it out, honey... I just know they will make a great movie about them." Nash said to her "I would be stuck between them also... But Mariane was something... I mean... Not many horses would win the Triple Crown and later produce multiple Triple Crown winners each year..." Ana nodded in agreement and said to her "True... But Dappled Warlocks also dominated his competitions by 6 lengths most of his races expect for the St Legar Stakes and him at age 8. So he was also a real good horse." Nash added to her "And Mariane would fight with you until the very end in any race..." Ana nodded again in agreement and said to her "Too bad it would be impossible to find a horse that would be a bay with all stockings and no facial markings on them while a grey would be easy to find..." Nash groaned in slight annoyance and Ana asked her calmly "How you been feeling about the pregnancy so far?" Nash shrugged unsure herself but replied "Fine, I guess..." Ana asked her "Have you thought of a name?" Nash replied to her "Not really... Haven't really thought of one..." Ana nodded gently and said to her "We can think about it more when the time comes..." Nash could tell Ana was thinking about something and Nash asked "Is something on your mind?" Ana nodded calmly "A few things, it's just mainly the royal wedding... That's all." Nash could tell she wasn't exactly telling the truth and Nash said to her "You know I can tell you are lying..." Ana sighed and said to her "I wasn't really lying, but I am just thinking about things related to us and our talk the other day." Nash was quiet hearing this and Ana said to her "It's nothing to worry about, I am just thinking what we could do and such..." Nash replied to her "Do you want to talk about it? Especially since it's like two months away..." Ana finally pulled up to the palace and said to her "We don't really need to talk about it at the moment... I am just more concerned for Tarna's wedding in two weeks..." Nash said to her "If you want to talk about it... Let me know..." Ana nodded as they got out of the car and Nash asked "Is Jasmine still coming up for the wedding with the younger kids?" Ana nodded and said to her "Yeah, I assured her that Amolt wasn't going to show up. She will be here tomorrow with Alec, Bjorn and Andy." Nash asked her "I know she is really struggling with Amolt basically cheating on her and such, but I am surprised she is being very strong about it..." Ana nodded and said to her "Same, but I think she is just being strong for Maya... Maya just thankfully knows her father was an ass... No offence..." Nash replied to her watching Ana gets their bags "None taken... He knew better about this... He lost everyone from what he did... Even ima disowned him for it... He only has his side chick... The bitch even called me demanding I should give him a chance, and I told her 'if she even contacts me again, she will be ten feet below.' She stopped after that threat... Clearly she didn't care less that he left his own wife and kid for some side chick... I haven't spoken to him since he did that." Ana nodded and said to her "I bet your grandparents screwed his head up, hence why he is a real lost cause..." Nash was quiet hearing this and Ana said to her "Sorry, Nash..." Nash replied to her "It's fine... I just accepted it at this point... I'm just glad I didn't go down that path unlike Amolt did..." Ana replied to her "Because you knew what was right and wrong... You are smart, honey..." Nash didn't say anything about that and Ana said to her "Let's try and not talk about it... And enjoy the week..." Nash sighed in slight worry about everything and Ana said calmly "Just don't worry to much, the doctor did say not to worry too much because of the baby." Nash replied to her "It's hard not too... Despite Amolt not being invited, I'm just worried he will still show up with that bitch..." Ana nodded and said to her "The guards will be surrounding the church and they know who can't come in and etc. I'm sure there is nothing to worry about." Nash still looked unsure and Ana asked her "Is Tony, Ziva and Tali coming over?" Nash replied to her "Yeah, they are flying in tonight... Edward basically is offering everyone a room that are flying in for the wedding." One of the servants came over and said to them "Hello, Ms Callaghan and Ms David. I am here to take all your things into your room." Ana and Nash were confused as they don't usually get greeted like this and Ana said to her "Uh, we're fine... Thank you..." The servant said to her "No, it's our pleasure." Ana and Nash just frowned as they don't need any help and they see Edward walking over and Ana said to him "Edward, we don't really need any help on the bags..." Edward said to the servant "You may go and help the other guests..." The servant nodded and walks off and Edward said to them "Sorry about that... Tarna thought it would be a good idea to make things easier..." Nash frowned in annoyance and Ana asked him "What you mean by that, Edward?" Edward replied to her "Uh... The pregnancy is making Tarna lose her mind in a way... She just being incredibly overprotective especially with you two expecting..." Nash growled as she hates being protected and Ana said to him "Yeah... We don't need any help... It's not like we are staying here for fifty years or some crap..." Edward nodded in agreement and said to her "I reminded that to Tee... But I guess she is just getting stressed about the wedding and everything..." Ana nodded and Nash asked "How is Catherine settling in?" Edward replied impressed "Really well... Tarna was expecting her to go crazy or something but she has really settled in..." Edward than asked as they head towards the palace "You excited for the bridal shower, Ms David?" Nash went incredibly quiet again and Ana said to him "Nervous..." Edward nodded noticing this and said to Ana "Before I forget... Charlotte and Tarna want to talk to you about the bridal party and I also need to talk to you about the wedding with Tarna and Charlotte..." Ana nodded and said to him "I will get right onto it once Nash and I settle in..." Edward nodded and said to them as they got to a room "This is your room, it does have space and privacy if needed." Nash basically just collapses onto the bed to enjoy the softness of it and Ana said to him "Thanks, Edward..." "I will let Tarna know you both have arrived... Do you two want anything for dinner that I should tell the chef?" Ana replied to him "Anything that has no seafood as Nash is deadly allergic..." Edward nodded understanding and said "That I do remember... So there isn't any seafood in the food." Ana nodded gratefully for it and Edward added "Oh... Before I forget... You all will be meeting the royal family tonight..." Ana just looked at him unsure after Esmeralda's stunt recently and Nash said to him "You sure about it, Edward? Especially after the stunts that your mother and sister had done recently..." Edward said to them assuring them "I promise they are a lot better than my mum and Mary... They also promised to be on their best behaviour..." Ana could tell Nash was unsure after the hell she went through with some of the family and Ana said to him "As long as they promise to do that... We should be fine..." Edward nodded and said to them "I probably see you later." Edward leaves them alone and Nash looked stressed a bit and Ana said to her "Nash... Calm down... The baby..." Nash sighed calming down a bit before saying "Sorry... Just the idea of meeting them is worrying me after what happened..." Ana nodded understanding what Nash is saying and said to her "I know... But I'm sure they are nicer than Esmeralda and Mary..." Nash sighed still worried and Ana said to her "Honey... You sure you want to race in November? Especially with the stress and everything..." Nash said to her being serious "Yes... I want to... I promise after Japan Cup, I won't race until after the baby is born..." Ana nodded and said to her "That's fine with me, Nash... I just wanted to make sure if you wanted to go through it..." Nash said to her "I know... But you don't need to worry about me too much, Ana... Sure, I had so much bad luck over the years but I got through it... I can do it again." Ana said to her "I know... I still worry about you, Nash... No matter what..." Nash gives Ana a loving kiss appreciated for Ana and before Ana could say anything, they hear a knock and Ana just growled as she just wants some peace with Nash right now and Ana got up and opened the door to see Tarna who clearly didn't look like herself and Nash said to her daughter "Geez, Tarn... You look like you haven't slept in weeks..." Ana didn't say anything as she didn't want to get Tarna upset and Tarna replied to her mother "I feel like it, Ima..." Tarna walks into their and Ana asked her "Is everything alright?" Tarna replied to them getting upset "I don't know! I am everywhere about it... I mean, do I even love Edward?! Am I even close to being ready?!" Nash just frowned about the questions as she already knew the answer about it and Ana said to her "Tarn... If you didn't... You wouldn't have slept with him and getting pregnant with his kids..." Tarna was clearly stressing out and Nash gently slaps her daughter on the face and said to her "Get yourself together, Tarna!" Tarna sighed knowing her mother was right including Ana and Nash said to her while getting Tarna to sit on her and Ana's bed and said to her "I asked myself that same question last year, Tarna... But you... Well... You are something..." Ana said to her calmly "Tarna, let me say something to you... You are a talented young woman... You been through hell this past few months. Hell, when things were going wrong for your ima when your biological father was around, you still had the brightest look... Always so happy..." Tarna wasn't sure how to feel and Nash said to Tarna "Ana is right, Tarna... I know you love Edward... You are just overwhelmed with the wedding coming up..." Tarna still looked unsure on it and Nash said to her assuring her "Tarna... Edward wouldn't have done all those things for you if he didn't love you... He loves you so much... I know you love him even more... I mean... Look at baby Catherine..." Tarna took a deep breath knowing her mother was right again and Tarna said to them "Sorry..." Ana replied to her "No need to be sorry, Tarna, it's just part of the whole wedding thing... I had those thoughts when I was marrying Michael..." Nash didn't say anything about her last wedding and Tarna asked "Are you two thinking on getting married anytime soon?" Ana and Nash went quiet as they promised not to even talk about it with Tarna and Tarna noticed how quiet they went and asked "Everything okay?" Ana and Nash looked at each other and Nash said to her daughter "We have spoken about it a few times... But we kinda waiting until like after the Japan Cup..." Tarna looked at them with a smile and said "That's great to hear... A bit soon, but I am happy to hear about it. When you going to tell everyone else?" Again, Ana and Nash were again incredibly quiet and this makes Tarna realize they weren't planning to tell anyone and Tarna said "Oh... I thought you would?" Ana said to her "We spoke about it multiple times but... We also didn't want to make it awkward as it is for Charlotte and Fadar..." Nash nodded and Tarna said to them "But they aren't together anymore..." Nash said to Tarna "True, but it would be still awkward for them... Especially with Charlotte pregnant with their baby..." Tarna said to them "I think you should still tell everyone about it..." Nash looked unsure and Tarna said to her mum "Ima, I think everyone would want to see you both to get married happily... Especially what you went through all these years..." Nash was quiet as Tarna was right and Ana could tell Nash still wasn't sure though and Tarna said to her "And Ma... Ana... Don't you think you would invite your family to something this important after Michael's death?" Ana was incredibly quiet hearing this and Tarna said to them "I know you both are afraid of telling everyone but, we still your family... We want to remember your special day... Just... Think about it..." Tarna leaves the room to let them think about it and settle in properly. Nash looked at Ana who was processing that sudden conversation and Nash asked "You alright, Ana?" Ana nodded and said to her "Yeah, just didn't expect Michael to be brought up in that conversation..." Nash could tell she basically still missed him since they all knew him since high school and Nash said to her "I think he would be happy about you being with someone that you love..." Ana nodded and said to her "I may not exactly loved him like he loved me but I still miss him... He understood and never force me..." Nash nodded hearing this and said to her "I miss him too... He was a great friend..." Ana said to her "Can we not exactly talk about Michael? I have moved on from him... I just don't expect anyone to mention him that much..." Nash nodded in understandment and said to her "Alright. Do you still want to talk about the wedding?" Ana said to her "I rather not after that conversation... Maybe tomorrow when I am more not stressed about everything." Nash nodded understanding and said to her "That's fine, hon." Ana just sighed clearly a bit stressed with a few things, mainly with Nash being pregnant and the whole wedding stuff and Nash asked her hoping to ease everything "Do you want me to help with anything?" Ana said to her not wanting to worry about anything "No... I will be fine... I don't you to worry about anything right now..." Nash frowned as Ana knows how much she hates being protected and said "Ana... You know how much I hate about protected..." Ana sighed and said to her "I know... But just don't want you to feel stressed about anything right now..." Nash said to her being serious "And you are overstressed... Just give me something to ease your stress..." Ana sighed to think and said to her "Think you can like... Do something about... Our wedding?" Nash nodded and said to her "Sure, I can organise everything... The only thing I won't do is the food... We can go over that another time..." Ana nodded grateful about it and said "That's fine with me, hon... Thank you..." Nash said to her calmly "Can you hand over my laptop? I have to go through a few things for the horses for their races next month..." Ana grabs Nash's laptop and hands it over to her as Ana lays onto the bed to try and relax and Nash said to her "I also have to talk to you about something kinda important..." Ana groaned in annoyance thinking it's another thing to stress her and Nash said calmly "It's not going to add any stress to you, Ana. I promise..." Ana sighed waiting for it and Nash said to her "I just want to ask you about the ultrasound..." Ana sighed to think trying to figure out how long Nash is along so far and Nash said to her to remind her "Ana... I am only two months into it... I am asking so our doctor can at least book it without us worrying about it especially with us overseas..." Ana sighed to think again as it would mean Nash would about seven months and Ana tries to do the maths in her head she kept losing count and Nash said to her "December, Ana..." Ana again tries to think and said to her "I guess it's best to do it before Christmas... When is your next ultrasound appointment?" Nash replied while typing into her laptop "Just a day before Tarna's wedding... So in about three weeks..." Nash looked at Ana who looked a bit stressed hearing this and Nash said to her "I can always go alone if you aren't up for it?" Ana said to being serious "No... I am not missing this first ultrasound with our second baby... I did miss that with Alec and I don't want to miss this one..." Nash said to her "Uh... Actually, it is the second one... I had the first one back in Los Angeles..." Ana asked her "Wait... You would only been less than 2 weeks for it..." Nash nodded and said to her "That's what I said... The doctors said I was either two weeks or longer and the baby is just taking a bit to grow... But I did explain that in the past, I barely showed while pregnant... The twins were the only ones since well... It's twins..." Ana nodded and asked "So they don't know exactly far along you are?" Nash nodded and said to her "That's why the doctors did suggest me to go to my own doctor or see another doctor just in case... Hence why I am going to the British doctors to see if they know before seeing my usual doctor back in Washington." Ana nodded understanding this and asked her "Out of curiosity, how come you rarely showed when you were pregnant?" Nash replied to her as she was looking at her laptop "Because apparently, my womb is a bit further towards my back... When I was pregnant with Alec, they realized I was always in pain near my back and learned about it... They put it down in my notes in the future in case I might have another baby and such. They have a hunch I might have Cryptic but they just a bit stunned on how my womb itself is, so they not one hundred percent." Ana looked at her as she knows Cryptic is a bit uncommon and asked her "And how you figured out you were pregnant with this baby?" Nash replied while looking at her "Eh... I had a feeling about for a while... You seen me predicting these things when it comes to pregnancy... Hell, I was the one that told you that you were pregnant with Charlotte..." Ana nodded as it is true, in fact, Nash figured it out just the following day after she and Michael did the dirty and Ana said to her "But you didn't know you were pregnant with the twins until you took a pregnancy test and went to the doctor..." Nash replied to her "True, but I kinda figured it out after having Alec... During the week of the Olympics, something was telling me I need to see the doctor, especially after I took a pregnancy test before we left to go to Kentucky..." Ana nodded and said to her "That makes sense why you were looking pretty off..." Nash said to her "I also didn't want to keep your hopes up in case it was just a faulty test and my feeling was just off..." Ana nodded understanding the reason for Nash not to mention it and Ana asked "What exactly are you doing?" Nash replied to her "Just making sure the horses are entered in the right races and I asked a few jockey friends to help with some of the horses for a while... Especially since I am pregnant." Ana asked her "Did you tell them about the pregnancy?" Nash nodded and said to her "Smith, Ortiz and a few others have sent their congratulations for the pregnancy." Ana smiled as most of the jockeys were like family to Nash as they were very welcoming to her when she started racing and were more supportive when they found out that Gap was just an asshole, the jockeys that knew Nash for the last few years were protective for their friend and Ana said to her "I'm glad to hear that... Did they ask who was the father?" Nash shook her head and said to her "Not really, they figured it was you as they knew we been together since Mike passed away. They just glad they know you and know I am safe with you..." Ana smiled a bit hearing this and said to her "They don't see me that often but I'm glad they like me..." Nash nodded as she continued typing on her laptop and Nash asked her "What you want to do for this horse, Ana?" Ana asked her "Uh, which horse?" Nash replied to her "Lovely Friends... Lovely Mariane's filly..." Ana said to her while thinking "I guess she can go for the Breeders Cup Turf..." Nash nodded and Ana asked her "Nash... I have a question towards Breakaway..." Nash nodded listening to her and Ana asked "When you think Breakaway is ready to retire?" Nash replied to her while not really thinking as she was typing what she said "Uh... Probably next year... He will tell us when he wants to retire... He is only like four so he has plenty of time to retire..." Ana sat up to notice Nash legit writing that down on Nash's laptop and Ana said "Nash... You legit just typed that..." Nash stopped to notice that Ana was right and Nash growled as she has done that before, and Ana said to her back to Breakaway "I guess... I am just worried to how he does for the Cup in November..." Nash nodded while deleting what she wrote and said to her "Same... It would be his first time running 3200m..." Ana asked her "Do you think he will do fine?" Nash replied while putting her notes in about Breakaway "Only one way to find out but I think he might do fine..." Ana asked her knowing that Colorado is her main worry "What about Colorado?" Nash replied to her with a sigh "That I am not sure on... But she was doing fine in the Triple Crown races... But I don't know how good she will be in the Japan Cup..." Ana could tell Nash was nervous as she basically never raced outside of America before and Ana said to her "You will do fine, Nash, you have studied the tracks so many times..." Nash replied bothered "But it's different once you get to the track... I will have to walk the whole track to make sure everything is good enough for me and the horses I ride that day..." Ana asked her "Does the Racing Clubs know you will be racing there?" Nash nodded and said to her "I told them I will be riding those horses on those days but said I can ride a few horses before the bigger races, they just have to talk to my agent about it..." Ana nodded and Nash looked at the time and said to her "It's basically close to dinner... We better get ready..." Ana asked her curiosity "Should we be looking nice for this dinner?" Nash shrugged unsure about that as they didn't really think to ask Tarna or Edward and Ana just looked at Nash waiting to what she thinks they should do and Nash said to her "I am just going to wear normal clothes... I don't really give a rats ass what Edward's family thinks..." Ana could tell Nash meant it and Ana said to her "That's fine with me, honey."
