Chapter two: Things are Changing

Nashma was in the interrogation room, waiting and luckily everyone was treating her like any other 11 year old, but Gibbs wanted to know who were the guys who kidnapped her and why did they kidnap her in the first place and the only person who survived from the bank hostage was Nashma, Tony asked Ziva while waiting for Gibbs in the viewing room "How come you never told me about your daughter before?" Ziva didn't say a word and Tony had a feeling there was more to it and finally Gibbs walked into the interrogation room and gives Nashma a soft drink in a can and he said calmly with a smile "Here, have a drink." Nashma didn't say anything but she took the can but didn't open it, of course, Nashma was still dirty but had clean clothes that some agents brought in and Gibbs asked her "Do you want to talk?" Nashma shook her head for no and Gibbs could tell she was scared and nervous still and Gibbs said to her "You are safe here. No one isn't going to hurt you. But you do need to help us, but we can't help you if you don't talk." Nashma looked at him and she finally asked while pushing the can to Gibbs "Can you open this?" Gibbs took the drink and opened it and had a straw and gave it to her and gave her the drink back and Nashma took a few sips and Gibbs asked "Do you know why they took you?" Nashma didn't look at him and she said in a strong Israeli ascent "No..." Gibbs said to her "Looks like your hiding something... Want to share?" Nashma shook her head still not saying anything about it and Gibbs said to her "You do realise we can arrest you for joining a bank robbery... If you don't tell us..." Nashma took a sip of her soda and took a sigh and said "I had nothing to do with the bank thing... I was staying at a friend's place, and I wanted to go for a run and I just got about a house away until they came and kidnapped me..." Gibbs looked at her and he could tell she was slightly lying and he asked "Did those guys looked familiar to you?" Nashma shook her head and Gibbs asked "Are you are protecting someone?" Nashma looked at him and said "No" Gibbs decided not to push her but he knew she wasn't willing to tell anyone about the people and Gibbs left the room and Gibbs said to Tony and Ziva "She not going to tell us everything... Know anyone she can trust, Ziva?" Ziva replied "Harta told me that Nash isn't close to her brother anymore, like she was 5 years ago, so I doubt she can trust anyone else. Is something wrong?" Gibbs replied while looking at the girl "I think she is hiding something... She is determined not to tell anyone about it..." Abby suddenly came in and saw Nashma from the viewing room and she noticed Nashma on the other side of the glass and she said "Wow, she does look like you Ziva..." Gibbs looked at Abby and asked her "You something to share to the class?" Abby remembered what she was doing here and she said "I think I found something on her kidnappers... If you all follow me back to my lab..." Abby smiled as Gibbs, Tony and Ziva followed Abby to her lab and they soon arrived and Abby said to them "After being given the dirty clothes of Miss. Beli, I realised that there was lots of blood DNA on her clothes and most are from her kidnappers, but there was one thing that stood out..." Gibbs looked at Abby and asked "Like what?" Abby slightly bit her lip and said "I will get to that any moment... The people that kidnapped her were Mossad officers..." Ziva said slightly mumbling "No surprise there..." Everyone looked at Ziva and Abby said "Right... Anyways... They were marked as rouge agents and they now work for a man named Sean Bani, someone who works for Mossad, who has a son name Karnal. Mr. Bani most likely ordered them to kidnap Nashma and ordered them to take her to America to do things." Gibbs said to her as they started to walk out of her lab "Sounds bad, thanks Abs..." Abby quickly said to them before they left "Wait! There is one more thing on that DNA. There was two different blood samples, one was Karnal Bani and the other was a one year old girl, named Tarna Bani..." Tony looked a bit confused and asked "Why does that have to do with Ziva's daughter?" Abby said as she brought up a photo "Because Karnal is the father of Tarna..." Suddenly Nash's photo came up and Abby added "And Nashma is the mother... Nashma is a teen mum... Or in this case, Kid mum..." Ziva looked at the photo shocked and Ziva asked "Is there a mistake or something, Abby?" Abby shook her head and said "DNA doesn't lie, Ziva..." Suddenly McGee came in and said to Gibbs "Uh, boss, we got a problem..." Gibbs, Abby, Ziva and Tony looked at Tim and Tony asked "What did you do, Tiny Tim?" McGee said "Well..." McGee quickly got to Abby's laptop and we see an empty interrogation room where Nash was supposed to be in and Tony said "Looks like we have a shooting star..." Everyone looked at Tony's joke and Tony said "Sorry..." Abby looked at them and asked "Why is she on the run?" Gibbs said with a frown "Because she wasn't telling us everything we needed to know..." Ziva quickly added "And she is scared..." Tony asked McGee "So where is she now?" McGee replied slightly biting his lip "She caught a cab 4 minutes ago, I don't know where she is going... At the moment..." Gibbs said not really impressed "Then Find her, McGee! And how on earth did she get out?" McGee said "Well... She walked out... She is a ninja..." Abby than said with a smile while looking at Ziva "Like Mother, like Daughter." Ziva quickly added "Actually, she is like her father... Her father is... WAS more stubborn than I was..." Ziva stopped and she looked like she was having some flashbacks as she looked like she was about to cry but she didn't and Gibbs said to her "Come with me, Ziva... I think you need to tell me about something..." Ziva followed button and the elevator stopped and Gibbs asked "Everything ok?" Ziva kept quiet trying to pull herself together and Gibbs asked again "Ziva, is everything alright?" Ziva finally said almost in tears "My husband, Nash's father... Was my only friend I could trust before I joined Mossad... And I now got two children who are not the same since I left them..." Gibbs looked at her and Ziva hugged him as she wanted a hug and Gibbs started to say "Ziva..." Ziva quickly added "I'm fine, Gibbs... It was a long time ago, it was 8 years ago..." and Gibbs said "Ziva... What happened..." Ziva stopped and finally said "He was murdered... Mossad claimed that he was killed by a bomb and they said his body was too damaged and they didn't let me see his body..." Gibbs quickly interrupted her and he said in a serious way "Hey, don't worry... Things happen... We will find her, Ziver... I promise you that..." Gibbs gave a warm smile at Ziva and Ziva slightly smiled and Gibbs asked her "Do you know where she would go to feel safe?" Ziva looked at him but she was completely thinking where her own daughter would go and Ziva finally said "Well, she loved her father, that's for sure... Knowing Nash, she would go to his grave, here in Washington..." Gibbs looked at her surprised and he said confused "Here? In Washington?" Ziva quickly said to him "Fadar loved Washington and told me if he ever dies, he wanted to be buried in Washington. I pretty much organised the funeral and everything..." Gibbs asked gently like "I think you should see her and talk to her, Ziva... You are pretty much the only thing she has left..." Ziva knew Gibbs was right but she was also worried, as Nash had a short temper but she hoped Nash was more open towards both Ziva and Fadar's grave and Ziva said "Of course, Gibbs. I will go there, but I need to go alone, no wires or anything, just me and my daughter..." Gibbs nodded in understanding.
