A Door Into the Dark

Clary, Jocelyn and Simon walk in with the men and Aldertree making us wonder what happened. Lydia walks up to me and says. ''Jocelyn tried to kill Jace. Clary and Simon tried to save him'', ''Is he?'' I ask. ''No, She hit Valentine but they escaped'' she answers. It's always something with the Frairchilds. I'm really mad at the both of them. At Jocelyn because she tried to murder Jace and Clary cause she is the reason why Jace is a wanted man other than a missing shadowhunter. Alec sees me angry and I know he is also. He drags me to the bedroom and says ''Go change in some trainings clothes''. I do as he says and then he takes me to the trainingroom. he gets two box balls ready and says ''Go on, Hit it. Work out and get the anger out of your system''. I nod and he wraps my hands. I kiss him on his lips. Pulling away I turn to the punching bag I began hitting it with all my strenght.

''Alec, Rebecca are you guys okay?'' Clary asks walking in while there are men at the door whatching us. ''Bold of you to show your face here'' he says. ''I can explain'' Clary says. ''Unless your explanation can bring Jace back, save it'' I say glaring at her. ''Alec, Jace is my brother'', ''You barely know him. I grew up with him. I fought by his side. He is our mate. Our husband and my best friend'' Alec says. ''Alec'' she says reaching out for him. ''Alec, I want Jace back as much as you want. I'm not my mother'' she says. ''How well do I even know you. You show up out of nowhere. You convince our husband, you convince me to search for your mother and the first thing I know Jace is gone. And your mother is trying to kill him'' Alec says. ''I had nothing to do with that, I would never hurt Jace. What about Rebecca she is-'', ''Cause you've caused only problems. My family lost his birthright, Izzy was almost de-runed, now Valentine has our husband and it is al because of you. The only thing what's great out of all this is meeting and marrying Rebecca'' Alec says. ''I'm sorry'' she says ''Alec, it is not her fault'' Izzy says walking in. ''When are you gonna realize you don't belong here. Never have'' he says walking away while taking my hand. ''Alec'' Izzy says walking after us. The tears were in my eyes because of all of this. 

''There's a clear pattern. Young, strong, highly skilled fighters, all abducted from boxing clubs, dojos and gyms. Valentine must have realised that only the top creating shadowhunters isn't easy. He needs mundanes more likely to survive the conversion'' Lydia says giving a speech to some of the institute. ''When did the briefing start. Nobody told me'' Clary says walking to us. ''That wasn't an accident'' Izzy says. ''Your job is to stake out any potential targets to catch the circle members trying to abduct them. We capture a circle member we have a shot at Valentine'', ''and Jace'' I say ''we have to get to him before they try and kill him''. ''Just keep your cool in frot of the boss'' Izzy says. ''You have your orders. Dismissed'' Lydia says. ''Izzy, Izzy please'' Clary says walking back to us from Aldertree and Lydia. ''You wouldn't want to be benched on this. Let me come with you'' she says. ''Did you not hear me before? There's no place for you here. Let's go Izzy and Rebecca'' Alec says. I look at Clary and then turn to follow Alec. 

I was walking into a underground fighting club with Alec and Izzy for the mission. ''He said the best fighters in the city come here'' Alec says. ''It's only a matter of time before Valentine hits this place'' Izzy says seeing big men fight eachother. ''You got some moves'' I say to the winer. ''Yeah? How about I take you home and show you some of those moves, up close and personal? She can join us to'' he says while nodding to Izzy. ''That's funny. You really think you have a chance with them?'' Alec says going immediatly protective. ''And who are you?'' the man asks my husband. ''I'm the guy who's gonna put you down if you don't shut your mouth'', ''Why don't you come up and tru, pretty boy?'' the man says. ''I got this'' Izzy says and walks to him while Alec puts an arm around me to show I'm his. ''What are you waiting for. Let's go'' Izzy says walking onto the matt. ''I don't fight girls, especially hot ones'', ''Then I guess it's gonna be really one-sided'' she says kicking him a few times and then knocks him over. When he was on his back she put's her foot while wearing heels on his troath. ''Do you really wanna take us home?'' I ask smiling at Izzy while laughing. The room was soon empty as the man was standing up. A circle member appears and almost takes the man or Izzy who had a glamour on herself. Alec attacks him throwing the circle member away. We all take out our blades and point it to the Circe member. He looks at us and sees the real man unconsious. While he was distracted Izzy slashes the blade out of his hands. ''Tell us where Valentine is'' I say. ''Where is he?'' Alec yells. The Circle member takes out a knife and before we can get any closer he slids his throat immediatly dieing on the spot. I look at the others in shock. 

''Aldertree's strategy isn't working'' Alec says. ''We've only been to one gym so far. We have to be patient'' I say looking at him. ''The circle members all took the same oath. They'll keep slitting their throats before they tell us anything'' Alec says. ''Do you have any other ideas?'' Izzy asks. ''Put in a request for a maritime mission. Take out a essel ourselves'', ''Alec, the ship is glamoured. It won't show up on the sonar'' Izzy says back. ''Well, it can't hide from us if we run right into it'', ''Darling it's a pretty big ocean out there'' I say. ''Look you guys know he's not hurt. Otherwise, you would have felt something, right?'' Izzy says. ''We don't really feel anything, Izzy'' I say back ''That's what scares us''. 

''We should look at the aerial drones'' Alec suggests. ''We've already done that'', ''So we do it again. Maybe we didn't look close enough'', ''I know you guys are upset but this is just-'', ''You don't know Izzy'' Alec snaps. ''We need him'' I say calming Alec down. ''I know'' she says back putting a comforting hand on my shoulder. ''Alec, Isabelle, Rebecca'' I hear behind me as we began walking away. We stop again and see Jocelyn walking to us. She was the one person I didn't wanna see. Lying about things is one thing but trying to murder our husband is an other one. ''I have a way'' she says showing an adamas. ''How did you get that?'' Izzy asks. ''Only the Iron Sisters have access to adamas''. ''Luke's mother is an Iron Sister. She told him about an ancient way to communicate through the Mate bond. Through your linked spirits it's possible''. ''Oh, I see. So you want Alec, to hep you find our husband so you can kill him again?'' I ask angrily and take Alecs hand while trying to walk away. ''No. I want to find Clary. She was kidnapped by Dot'' Jocelyn says walking after us. ''Valentine must be behind this'', ''Why should we trust you?'' Alec asks. ''Look, I know how much he means to you. And Clary means just as much to me. And I will do anything to get her back'', ''What other choice do we have?'' Izzy says turning to Alec and I. 

''Your not doing it Becca'' Alec says while we are with eachother in our room. ''And you should?'' I ask ''I can't loose the both of you. If something goes wrong I'm all alone''. ''You won't. I will come back to you and so will Jace'', ''You are more experienced. If something goed wrong you can still find Jace-'', ''No Becca. Please'', I sighn looking at him. ''Okay. But know that even while I let you, I don't agree'' I say. He nods and then takes me in his arms. ''We're going to be together soon. The three of us. And maybe we can even have a little one'' Alec says smirking. ''Euhm, first find Jace and then we will see'' I say laughing a bit. He kisses me passionatly and I then say ''Okay, maybe''. He laughs before taking his shirt of and lying down in bed as Izzy and Jocelyn walk in. ''Whose going to be the one?'' Jocelyn asks. ''Me'' Alec says while I glare at him a bit. ''You don't agree?'' whispers Izzy to me. ''Yeah. He insisted he should do it'' I whisper back. ''It will be okay'' she says taking my hand.

''If Luke's had the stone all along, why didn't he say anything when Jace went first missing?'' Izzy asks the woman who I tought was my mother. Alec was lying in bed shirtless in our room while I was sitting next to him. ''I'll be honest. There are some serious risks involved'', ''What kind of risks?'' I ask her. ''The mate that initiates the contact it can be taxing on his body'' Jocelyn explains. ''On his mind-''. ''Izzy, babe it's fine'', ''I'm not liking the sound of this'' Izzy says. ''Neither am I. Taxing how?'' Izzy asks. ''We're not sure'' she says back. ''Of the few people who have tried it, not many have come back to talk about it''. ''Forget it. He's not doing it'' I say looking from her to Alec. ''Don't listen to her'' Alec says. ''No, Alec. I've lost both parents to Idris and a brother to Valentine. I'm not letting you or Rebecca do it. I'm not loosing one of you'' Izzy says backing me up. ''Izzy, You said it yourself. We have no choice. Rebecca we just talked and we agreed we're gonna find Jace'' he says. ''That was before I knew you can die'' Izzy says ''No, get up!'', ''He needs me, Iz, and I can't. He needs us both. I can't live without him. We both can't'' He says. I look to myself and then nod. ''okay'' Alec smiles and kisses me lightly. 

''According to Luke, you need to stay near the surface'' Jocelyn explains ''If you go to deep nothing can bring you back''. ''If you go to deep, by the Angel, Alec, I will kick your ass when you get back'' Izzy says. ''I will personaly help her'' I say while wiping away a few hairs out of his face and kiss him lightly. ''give me the stone'' he says and Jocelyn gives it to him. Alec inhales deeply and thinks about Jace. As Alec has some movement but nothing else but inhaling deep I see his eyes role a bit back and have a bleeding nose. I grab a tissue and clean it. Alec becomes worse and he begins to shake. ''No, Alec!'' I yell as Izzy holds me while I have tears in my eyes.
