''Any word from the Clave?'' Izzy asks Lydia who was fully heales as we walk in the institute her and Alec. ''Not yet and we've been trying for the past four hours. Something's up'', ''Mmh, the Clabe being unhelpful. Who's shocked? Show of hands?'' Magnus says joining us. ''I'm worried. I can't sense Jace through our bond'' Alec says while I nod along. We both are very worried for our husband. ''We'll find him, guys'' Magnus says. ''When we arrested Hodge, he said Valentine was on a ship. They must still be over water'' Izzy says. ''Pull up the waterways around New York'' Lydia orders. ''The ship couldn't have been gone to far''. ''Anything?'' I ask Magnus who was tracking Jace with his shirt. ''Sorry'', ''There's got to be something!'' I say frustrated. ''I don't see him'' Magnus says. ''Alright, Listen up! I want 24/7 monitoring of the Hudson and East Rivers. If you see anything unusual you come to me first'' Alec says. ''I've got this Alec'', ''Then why haven't you found Jace yet?'', ''Don't forget who you're talking to. I am still the head of this institute'', ''And our husband is still missing'' I say standing up and walking in front of Alec who stood face to face with Lydia. ''Why don't you guys take a break?'' Izzy suggest. ''Not now, Izzy'' Alec says back. ''Isabelle's right, and it's not a request. You're dismissed'' Lydia orders. ''Fine'' I say. ''Everybody just back off'' Alec says while grabbing my hand walking with me away. 

''Are you okay?'' I ask Alec. ''I'm sorry for how I reacted before. It's not against anyone personal'' Alec says as we're on the roof together in eachothers arms looking over the city. ''Baby, you know I get it. We're getting used that we're married but our other half is missing'', ''If he dies-'', ''Don't, please'' I say begging him not think about that. ''I have an idea'' Alec begins. ''We can track him through our runes''. ''It's dangerous Alec. You know that right'' I say looking at him. ''That's why we need Magnus'' he says. I just silently nod to him not really making my mind up if this is the best or the worst thing to do. ''Come your getting it cold'' Alec says taking me inside. 

Walking in the opps centre we see Maryse standing and beginning her speech. ''We are at war. Valentine now has the Mortal Cup, with which he is, no doubt, raising a new army and one of our own has joined him'' she says. ''Looks like the queen's taking back her kingdom'' Izzy says. ''As a result, the clave declared a state of emergency at the Institute. Their first priority is to replace the current leadership, who they have deemed wholly ineffectual. It's a honour to introduce the newly appointed head of the New York institute, Clave representative, Victor Aldertree'' she says and gives the space to Aldertree. ''Did you know about this?'' Alec asks Izzy. ''No. But maybe this is why dad went back to Idris'' Izzy says. ''Maryse went behind my back'' Lydia says. ''My fellow shadowhunters. It's a honor to be here with you all. We have to find Jace Wayland. He's a Shadowhunter and we don't leave our people behind. The answer to his location may very well lie in this room. So, I wanna speak with everyonec who went on a mission where Jace dissappeared. One last thing. Effective immediately the institute is on lockdown. But it's only temporary. Let's turn this institute around'' he says and walks away. ''Wait, if we're on lockdown, who's out there looking for Jace?'' Clary asks. ''We'll think of something. Don't worry'' Izzy says. ''Jace is tough. Valentine will never break him'' she adds seeing my very worried look. 

''You wanted to see me?'' I ask walking in the office of Aldertree. ''It's great to meet you'' he says shaking my hand. ''I've heard much about you in Idris. Don't worry only good things. Sorry about the camera. Like I told your friends when they came in, this is official business, so. I have to be official'' he says turning it on. ''Now. let's talk about Jace. Or do I need to say one of your husbands'', ''Okay'', ''Did you have the impression he was saving your lives by leaving with Valentine?'' he asks. ''yes, It's even more than an impression. It's what actually happened. If he tried anything, the rest of us would have been killed. We all had blades on our necks. I was stabbed by Valentine'', ''Was he within striking distance of Valentine?'', ''No, he wasn't. He couldn't have or else you had 4 dead shadowhunters and two downworlders dead. He also would have taken Jace by force'' I say. ''Just please find my mate and Husband''. ''We will do our best. That's the thing I'm here for'' he says dismissing me ''oh, please send Clary in will you''.
