Parabatai Lost

''Jace'' mumbles Alec. Izzy had called Magnus for me to help with Alec.''It's not working'' I say. ''I'm sorry Becca'' Magnus says. ''Mate bonds are like a tether that binds souls together. You three share emotions, instincts, strenght. But with them it's more because they're parabatai. It's a angelic bond. My magic can only do so much'' Magnus explains. ''Why does Rebecca have no pain or some sort of feeling that is happening between their bonds?'' Izzy asks. ''I don't know. The only two things I can think of is the power she holds. Or both boys are protecting her bond by everything they have'' he answers. ''Is Jace like this too?'' I ask. ''Not neceserly. It appears that when Alec called out to him, part of his soul never returned. Now he's stuck, lost somewhere between himself and Jace'', ''But if Jace brought back that missing piece of his soul...'', ''We may very well have the cure'' Izzy and Magnus say. ''Whatever we do we need to do it quickly'' Magnus adds. ''You two stay with Alec. I'll go find Jace'' Izzy says  hugging me and then walking away. 

''Isabelle? Rebecca? Clary's back'' Jocelyn says as she knocks on the door. Magnus looks at me and I say ''I don't want to see her. Everything is her fault''. He nods and stands up and opens the door. ''Oh, great. Clary's safe'' he says looking at Jocelyn ''We can all go home now'' and tries to close the door. ''Whoa, wait, Magnus'', ''How's Alec? Is he gonna be okay?'', ''As if you care'' I say. Magnus walks out the door and talks to Jocelyn. ''Do you remember the first thing I said to you when you brought both girls to my door. One was six year and the other was seven and a half?'', ''You didn't wanna get involved in Shadowhunter business'', ''And I should've stuck to my guns. But no, I let you convince me. I became of one a best friend. But other then that. How many years of memory wipes was it?'' he asks her. ''twelve'' she answers. ''Look, I owe you. let me help with Alec'', ''I think you've done enough'' Magnus says. ''I was only trying to find-'', ''Clary. Like always. You were only trying to do what you always do'' I say standing up looking at her, ''Manipulating people into helping fix problems that you created. And now my best friends husband, Alec is paying the price for it'' Magnus says. ''That's not true'' she says. ''Then prove me wrong'' Magnus says and closes the door. He sees the tears in my eyes and walks up to me. ''Ow cupcake'' he says as I cry in his arms. ''I can't loose them both. I just can't. I just found them. Why-'', ''ssstt. It will be okay'' he says. ''You're gonna have them both back. And maybe you can make me an uncle'' he says and I laugh making me feel better and also blush at the thought of having children with the men I love. Izzy opens the door and Magnus and I look to her. She was with Clary probably explaining what had happened while Magnus was making something for Alec and I sat next to him. 

''Best team'' Alec murmers. Izzy and Magnus were packing bags as we are going to Magnus place. There Jace would meet us. Hopefully cure Alec. ''It's okay, Alec. You hear me? We're gonna get you out of here and bring you back'' I say. ''You put in a request to transfer your brother to Idris?'' Aldertree asks walking in. ''My parents put in the request'' Izzy says. ''Alec isn't leaving this institute. I'm sure his warlock friend can figure somehthing out. Here'' he says. ''This isn't waking Sleeping Beauty with a kiss. Mate bonds are deep. It requires magic that can;t be accessed in the wals of this institute'', ''I don't know what you're up to, and, ultimately, I don't care. But as far as I'm concerned, your brother is too weak to be portaled'' Aldertree says to Izzy. ''You're just using Alec as bait to arrest Jace'' I say. ''No, I'm working to capture the fugitive who put Alec in this position'' he says. ''Then take Jocelyn'' I spat. ''I have allowed this warlock into the institute for the sole purpose of treating your husband. Although, you don't seem to be doing too good a job of it. I'm placing Raj by the door. Do not try this again'' he says and then walks away. ''I'm just under orders'' Raj says. ''Shut up, Raj'' Izzy snaps. 

Magnus tries again with his powers. ''Alec?'' I ask as I hear him mumble. Magnus tries but then frustration hits him and throws something through the room. ''You know you're gonna have to clean that up?'' Raj says. ''I feel you man, but I have direct orders'' Raj says as we both glare at him. ''If you can't help him, then you need to go''. ''My magic is the only thing keeping Alec from completelyy slipping away. I won't leave'' Magnus says. ''I know you're old, but I didn't realize you were hard of hearing'' Raj says making me stand up. ''He's clearly not waking up any time soon, so you can leave now, or I can remove you myself-'' Magnus chokes Raj. ''I'm sorry I don't like being rushed'' Magnus says back and pushes him against the wall knocking him out. Izzy rushes inside as I return to my place next to Alec. ''We need to get Alec out of here, but this isn't helping'' she says to him. We put Raj in a glamour as Alec in bed as Magnus, Alec and I portal to his place. 

''Come back. Come back. Please come back'' I say holding Alecs hand as Magnus was away for a few minutes. ''Magnus is out of answers. He tried everything. Except...'' I say and kiss him on the lips. ''Alec?'' I ask but then I gasp and see a glow around myself. Magnus walks in and sees it. ''What?'' Magnus says and walks to me. He looks at Alec and then says. ''You're using your magic powers by helping Alec heal bit by bit. He now has got more time'' Magnus says. ''My eyes are glowing?'' I ask as he looks curiously. ''Yep'', ''Again, really?'', ''Again?'' he asks. ''With Jace got stabbed by a demon'' I explain. ''Keep doing this. Izzy says she is searching for Jace right now'' Magnus says. ''Great hopefully she's gonna find him and bring him here''.

Izzy rushes in with Jace and Clary as he takes his other hand. Magnus gives Jace the adamas. Their hands glow gold. ''Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee'' Jace says to him. Alec gasps. ''What's happening?'' Izzy asks. ''He's slipping'' Magnus says. ''No'' I say and force more of my magic into Alec to help him heal. ''Thy people will be my people, thy god will be y god. When thou diest, I will die. And there will I be buried. The angel do so to me'' he says and Magnus looks to me seeing my eyes shine bright when Jace hugs Alec. ''And more so if aught but death part thee and me'' Jace says with tears. ''Please don't leave me Alec'' I hear Jace whisper and I begin to cry. ''If aught but death part thee and me'' Alec weakly says back as we smile. Alec sees Jace and then me and we hug the three of us while Alec sobs in our arms.

 ''Jace Wayland. You are here by sentences to the City of Bones to await trial for the charge of high treason and aiding Valentine in the war against the Clave'' Aldertree says walking in as Jace let's go of Alec and I. ''Wait, What- What the hell is going on?'' Alec asks as I help him sit up a bit while holding him in my arms. ''It's all right babe'' Jace says looking at us.  I have tears rolling over my cheeks. ''All that matters is you're back. Take care of eachother'' he says as he is dragged away by the guards of Aldertree. While looking at Jace retreating figure Alec and I hug eachother tightly. ''You said you were going to be okay'' I say to him. ''I kept my word, right'' he says. I slap him tightly and hug him while kissing his forehead. I got Alec back and soon I will have Jace also back in my arms
