As the last note of your song hit, you belted it out with all of your heart finishing with a fist in the air. 

The atmosphere was electric as you thanked the hyper crowd before walking off the small stage. You were met with the tired smiles of your band mates. 

This gig was definitely one of the better ones. The crowd, the venue, everything was amazing. 

You were packing everything up when someone from the crowd approached you. They exclaimed how much they loved the band and then asked if you were available for the next week at their venue.

An exited glance was passed around the five of you, as you cleared your throat, albeit a bit sore, and spoke. 

"We'd love to."

After that it was a hurricane of gigs. Word had gotten around about you, and even if it was a small increase, you became more and more popular with each performance. 

Though you were happy with the recognition, there was still a problem you had yet to face.

Your best friend Leonardo. Your nights, now being taken up with gigs, were unable to be spent with him.

It was painful every time you had to deny a request to hang out, but it was him or the band. And though he had your nights, the music had your heart.

Leo sat in the lair staring at your recent texts with him on his T-Phone, an episode of Space Heros playing faintly in the background. 

Usually, he would be immersed in the scenes, but something was weighing on his mind today.

He scrolled through your texts from the week, scanning your responses.

'Sorry Leo, I have something tonight, maybe another time?'

'Sorry, I already have plans.'

'Maybe another time Leo.'

Time after time for a week now. It just wasn't like you. 

Sure you've skipped out on hangouts before, but those were few and far between. Never like this.

He was starting to get concerned, and like he does, he agonized over each little encounter you did have. 

Looking for signs that you were pulling away. 

Overthinking the little things he might have done wrong that might have pushed you away.

He was so wrapped up in his little bubble of anxiety that he didn't notice the other turtle that entered the room.

"Where's your 'best friend' Leo? You two usually geek out over this dumb show together." Raph appeared in front of him peering down at his phone.

"None of your business Raph, they're busy, thats all." Leo snapped back hiding the phone from view.

Raph held his hands up in defense.

"Geez okay don't get your shell in a knot fearless. Just haven't seen you with them for like a week now. You two are usually attached at the hip. It's annoying."

Raph then stalked off leaving Leo to his thoughts once again.

He wanted his best friend back. So, as the curious and anxious turtle he is, he made the hasty decision to follow you tonight. Just to satiate his curiosity. At least, thats what he told himself.
