~ Chapter Twelve ~

The next day, Alan drug me out of bed. Rudely.

"Sorry, Em. Loverboy didn't wake you, so, I had to." Alan said as he flung me over his shoulder.

I groaned as he started to walk. He walked down the stairs as I still groaned from over his shoulder.

"Aaron! She's trying to bite me!" That was true. "I think she's going after my butt!" That was also true.

"Alan, if she bites you, bite her back!" Aaron called. I then felt somebody smack my butt, making me squeal.

"Rape!" I screamed. Alan and Aaron were dying. Alan laid me on the floor. I crawled over to the couch and pulled myself up. I was on my stomach, face planted on the cushion. I felt somebody's hand on my back, and I knew exactly who it was by the way my body shivered, but relaxed.

"Hey, gorgeous. I've got something you might want." Aaron whispered in my ear, softly.

"Coffee?" I mumbled

"Yep." He confirmed. I gasped and sat up. He handed me the steaming mug, and sat beside me. I curled up beside him, and sipped my coffee.

"Have I ever told you how much I love you?" I asked, drinking more of my coffee. I easily downed me coffee. "Thanks, babe." I kissed him gently. He kissed back.

"You're welcome." Then Alan came in.

"Get a move on, lovebirds!" He yelled. "Gotta get a move on!" I groaned and laid across Aaron's lap.

I groaned. "I don't wanna go!"

"Come on, Ember. We can cuddle later." He smiled, kissing my forehead. "Keep moving. Keep moving. Don't stop till we see everything drop." He sang to me.

"Fine." I pouted. He kissed me, and lifted me up, carrying me bridal style. He put me down on the bed, and left me to get ready.

I sat outside completely ready. Alan and Aaron were taking forever. I heard the door shut. Tino sat down beside me on the porch stairs.

"Lieutenant." He greeted me.

"Tino. Stop! I'm Ember. Come on." I scolded.

"Sorry. So, how are you, Ember?" He asked.

"Fine. And yourself?"

"Peachy! I've had to sleep with Alan! Just peachy!"
He exclaimed. "Hey, did I mention that we-"

"Ooohhh Tiiiinnnnoooo!" Somebody called from the woods surrounding the house. "Eeeemmm- Ow! Tay!"

"'Re getting back up?" Tino finished.

"So I hear." I mumbled. We were still a week out. I was able to get a ride to Squire, not out!

Sergeant Taylor Jardine and Captain Alexander Gaskarth stepped out of the tree line.

"Emmy!" Alex yelled, running to me. He picked me up, and spun me around.

"Alexander William! Put me down!" I demanded through giggles. He set me down to see a frowning Aaron standing in the doorway. "Aaron, come meet my friends!"
I told. He moved down the stairs, arms crossed over his chest.

"What?" He sassed. I smack him over his head. "Ouch!"

"Be nice!" I scolded. "Alex, Tay, meet Corporal Aaron Pauley of Squire- my boyfriend." The nodded. "Aaron, meet Sergeant Taylor Jardine and Captain Alexander Gaskarth." Aaron nodded. "They're a couple, too." I informed with a wink. Aaron smiled. "Alan! Tay and Alex are here! Hurry it up!" Alan came running out a moment later.

"Let's go!" He yelled, and started running into the woods.

"Wrong way!" We all yelled in unison. Alan came running the other way.

"There you go!" Tino yelled, walking after him.
