After a few more days of travel, we stopped at another safe house. We were running low on supplies, so they decided to send me. I had changed into Neutral clothes to go into town. I just pulled my shirt over my body when Aaron walked in wearing Neutral clothes, too.
"Hey, pretty lady. Need an escort into town?" He asked in a western accent and a joking tone.
"Why, yessir!" I exclaimed in a southern accent. "Would you be so kind?" I asked in the same accent as before. He laughed. I grabbed my clutch, and took his arm. We left for town.
We got food, clothes, other necessities, and some gum for my addiction. We laughed and joked as we walked through the town- like a real couple!
"Ya, know. I think we'd be a cute real couple." I said.
"A real couple?" Aaron gasped dramatically. "Do you mean BF and GF?! OMG!" He exclaimed.
"No, silly!" I laughed. "As a couple who don't have a war on their hands. I wish we were something more than our sides. I want us to stop this war." He stopped walking, and turned me to face him.
"Well, then." He said. He started leaning in. "Let's pretend we're something more." He leaned in closer. "I will race you back." He whispered. He let go of me and started sprinting in the other direction.
"Aaron!" I whined. I started running after him.
Soon enough, we ran into the clearing where the house was, and I was in perfect distance. I jumped forward, and onto Aaron's back. He fell down, me still on him. We fell to the ground. He rolled onto the ground. He smiled up at me.
He sighed. "Well, you won. What do you want?" I leaned down.
"You know quite well what I want." I growled. He smirked and gently kissed my lips. "Thank you." He kissed me again, this time deeper.
Best.
Kiss.
