I woke up to my Twitter blowing up with news outlets reporting my hitch hiking story. #edomleclerc was trending worldwide (luckily not number one) and I had missed 7 calls from my media team. I wanted to cry. Never had I meant for this to get blown up so much. How the hell could people even tell that was Charles' car?!I called back my media team and they picked up immediately.
"Explain" was all Lottie said."Not even a hello?" I whined.
"This is massive everywhere Edom and we need to get it under control,"
"So I got a lift from him! So what?!" I cried out. "All that happened was I got a lift from Charles Leclerc with my best friend. Why is that such a big deal"
"Well you might know nothing happened but no one else does. You're going to have to prepare for an onslaught of questions today Edom," my PR manager warned me. I groaned. I wanted to be asked about racing. Suddenly a second voice entered the call.
"Omg look at this." It was another media manager called Chris. He was clearly showing something on his phone.
"Edom go back onto Twitter, I think we may be ok for now," Lottie sounded serious. I quickly got onto Twitter but nothing serious popped up.
"What am I looking for Lottie?" I asked desperately, terrified at what I might find.
"Just put in #f1, it will come up" I did as I was told and immediately I realised what was being spoken about.
