Daniel ended up joining us on the flight over, aswell as Lando's best friend Max Fewtrell. Luckily for me, Rue and I had managed to arrange her getting a flight to Nice so she could get our private jet with us. The 5 of us had a blast, doing kareoke and playing photo roulette.

I swear Rue and Max were hardcore flirting, but Rue was a flirty gal so I decided to not dwell on it and ask her about it later.

Bahrain was much hotter than it had been during pre-season and we had some time to kill so we went to the pool at our hotel. I chucked on a white bikini and quickly uploaded to my story as recently I hadn't been very active.

Lando and Max also came but Daniel said he unfortunately had a few team meetings he had to attend. I sunbathed with my headphones in whilst Rue and Max flirted together nearbye and Lando lazed on a float in the pool.

Despite having my eyes closed I suddenly felt a shadow over me, blocking off the sun and heat. I opened my eyes to see Charles standing over me.

You've got to be kidding me. I thought. Of course he happens to be staying in the same hotel as us.

"You're in the way" I said, pausing my music. He was wearing nothing but swimming trunks and sunglasses, his abs on clear display. I tried to keep my eyes on his face.

"What music are you listening to?" He asked.

Not this bloody question again.

I decided not to fight the question "Just my Taylor Swift playlist."

"I've heard of her. Haven't listened to anything by her though"

"Well you should" I said, then grabbed my shades resting on the table next to my sunbed and turned my music back on. However, the shadow didn't move.

"Please move" I sighed, not pausing my music this time. I didn't care about his response. He moved away and when I next looked around 5 minutes later, he was in the pool with Lando and they were chatting amicably.

I couldn't figure out Charles' feeling towards me. Did he hate me? Or did he like me as a friend? I knew I definately hated him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Bahrain weekend came and went, with Lando finishing in 15th and me in 16th. Although I wanted the best for Lando it was reassuring he only finished 1 place ahead of me as it showed that it was the car that was the problem, not me.

To my pleasure, Charles had DNFed due to an engine failure.

Hopefully that will humble him I thought. However it didn't. We crossed paths during the post race interviews and all he had said was "Disappointing first race for Mclaren, guess I was right". Before I had time to respond he had walked past me for an interveiw with Sky Sports Italia.

It impressed me he knew how to speak so many languages. I could speak a bit of French, enough to survive in France on, but nothing compared to Charles' fluency in English and Italien.

The next day I flew back to England, where I would stay for a week and half until I had to fly to Saudi Arabia for the next race.

I found that I couldn't get Charles off my mind; I kept replaying our interactions in my head and sometimes he would appear in my dreams. I hated it.

It got worse when he followed me on instagram and decided to like a post I had posted a few months back which could only mean he had been scrolling through my feed. He was probably finding ammo to insult me with next time we saw each other I assumed.

Being the petty girl I am, I didn't follow him back, but I did stalk his instagram, scrolling all the way back down years into his feed. I had originally looked to also gain ammo but ended up forgetting as I became so interested in the stuff he had posted.

On the plane to Saudi Arabia, I asked Rue what to do if I couldn't get a guy off my mind, to which she pestered me about who but I managed to hold her off. She ended up saying that the best way to get a guy off your mind is to get with a different guy. Typical Rue. However she made me promise to try to get with someone in Saudi and I was already stressed about it. Flirting wasn't a strong point for me; in becoming a professional driver, I had missed the years of flirting with guys and going to parties so I wasn't very good. I managed to escape Rues efforts of teaching me how to flirt when the plane finally landed in Saudi Arabia.
