dinner

When i got home i watched some TV with my dad and we cooked something because we were starving. We decided to make Paella.

"Hailey, i see you're doing great with the boys! I'm so happy you found friends!"

I immediately started to think about Ansu again. I was looking at my phone every 2 minutes because i waited for a message from him. He still didn't text me.

"Yeah i really like them! Thanks for introducing me to them." i said with a forced smile.

"What's wrong mi hija? I can see that you're not feeling happy."

"I don't really know. I've just been hanging out with Ansu a lot lately and after training he just left without telling me. I don't know if i did something wrong and he also didn't text me." i said with a sad expression on my face.

"Hailey you should've told me that before! I'm sure there is a misunderstanding between you two! You get along so well and i can see that he's being serious with you."

"Maybe you're right papá. Should i text him instead?"

"No. Tomorrow there is a dinner with the full team. Just come with me and talk to him in person there."

"Okay, i will. Muchas gracias papá!"

I think my dad is right. Maybe i misunderstood something and talking to each other in person would be much easier then over text.

I decided to create a group chat with the boys to tell them that i won't be going to training tomorrow just dinner.

Everyone said bye except one person. Ansu. He was the only one i wanted a 'bye' from. I decided to ignore it and remembered my dad's words as i got ready to go to bed.

The next day

I woke up pretty late today. It was already 11am. I walked down the stairs and headed to the the kitchen. There was a note from my dad.

"Hola mi hija! I just wanted to let you know that i already headed out to training. Also my manager told me that you can bring a plus-one to our dinner tonight but i think you're already satisfied with the boys. See you later, te amo.
Papá"

My dad was right, i was happy that the boys are going to come and that's enough for me. I don't even have other friends here.

I got ready, ate breakfast and finally went to the mall.

At 4pm

I was finally home again after shopping for so long. My dad was already here as well so we decided to eat and then get ready for the dinner.

I bought myself a short white dress and decided to just do a simple make up so it looked clean but not to much.

When i was ready i went down and waited for my dad in the hall. Alvaro, our chauffeur, would drive us today.

"Hailey you look wonderful!" my dad said.

"Gracias papá!" i answered and hugged him. We went to the car and started to drive. I was so nervous to see Ansu.

At the dinner

We arrived and went into a very rich looking restaurant. It was very big and it seemed that only the squad is going to be here tonight.
I sat down next to my dad as i waited for the others to arrive.

"Hola Hailey! Good to see you again." Araújo said while giving me a hug.

"Hey! How was training?"

"It was very intense today but because of that all of us are deserving this dinner tonight even more haha!" he said. I wanted to continue talking to him when suddenly someone tried to jump on me from behind.

"Ale what the fuck?" i said in complete shock.

"Haileyyyyy! We all missed you so much. Come sit with us." he hugged me so tight i could barely breath and then led me to the table.

We sat down and i hugged my other friends who were also here now. Me, Rapha, Ale, Gavi and Pedri talked the whole time and it never got boring. But i missed one person. Ansu.
Where was he?
