(Bachisagi) Sunflower's Melody

Chapter 15

Today was Monday, it was early in the morning and everybody was at the soccer field. Their coach had arranged a practice match with a team from a different school and they were the ones visiting their school. They got on the bus and everybody took their own seats. The usual pairs were sitting together, Chigiri beside Kunigami, Reo beside Nagi, and of course, Bachira beside Isagi. Bachira was the one sitting by the window and Isagi expected this wasn't the best idea. The ride to the school was long since it was a long way and Bachira continued blabbering on about everything he saw from the window. "Yoichi, did you see that dog?? It was sooooo cute! Maybe we should get a dog and a cat." He said referring to the small fluffy Pomeranian he saw being walked by a little girl. "We can't have too many pets, Meguru. I'm not sure we're ready for that big of a responsibility yet." Bachira in response to Isagi's statement, stuck his tongue out saying 'You're no fun' and turning back to the window. 

Isagi thought Bachira would start sulking again but he was surprised when his mood changed back to normal in a split second. "Oh look! A flock of crows.. woah!! They're so prettyyy. Yoichi, did you know that a group of crows is called a murder of crows." He turned to face his boyfriend and was met with a smile. Isagi simply nodded and Bachira smiled back before continuing to talk. "I don't understand why people are so scared of crows.. they're so mysterious and... majestic! They're amazing too! They don't really look scary.. they look really cool! I kinda like crows." Isagi didn't say anything and just smiled, simply adoring the precious brunette. He really loved how Bachira could go on and on like this. It was childish but cute. It put him at an inexplicable ease, he loved how Bachira could be around him so comfortably. And he felt very lucky to have someone like him as his boyfriend.  

Bachira continued talking until he surprisingly got tired of doing so. Isagi noticed he was starting to talk less and he was leaning his head on the window. He'd lift his head up every once in a while and Isagi saw his half-lidded eyes slowly closing. He figured the brunette was getting sleepy. He sighed and gently pulled the others arm to make him lean on his shoulder instead. "If you're sleepy, all you need to do is tell me. No need to be shy, I'm your boyfriend.." Isagi felt the other boy instantly relax leaning his head on his shoulder. He extended his arm and pulled the sleepy Bachira closer to him. He kissed the top of Bachira's head and whispered, "Sleep well, Meguru. I love you." He rested his own head on the sleeping boys head leaning on him. 

"Wake up boys!! We're here!" Isagi opened his eyes to the loud voice of their bus driver. He looked at his side and saw the brunette still sleeping peacefully. As much as he didn't want to, he had to wake Bachira up. He shook Bachira awake repeating, "Meguru, wake up.. we're here." Bachira slowly opened his eyes and turned to Isagi. "G'mornin~" He smiled brightly at Isagi. "Did you sleep okay?" Isagi said while getting up and helping his lover up. "Yep! I was beside you after all.. of course I'd sleep well." Isagi smiled and leaned down to give Bachira a quick kiss. "Ugh.. get a room you two." Raichi said, annoyed at all the romance inside the bus. He walked past them and behind him was Chigiri Hyoma with another one of his devilish grins plastered on his face. Before Isagi could even ask why he had that look, he held his phone up and showed a picture of the two of them asleep. Bachira with his head on Isagi's shoulder and Isagi with his head on Bachira's, the both of them holding hands. "Would you look at the new couple. You guys are so sweet." He said still keeping the grin. "Don't worry guys, the whole bus knows. Most of them were there at the talent show after all.." Kunigami tried to reassure Isagi knowing how bad the raven haired boy gets when he thinks about things too much.

They took their bags and headed to follow their coach who led them to a restaurant. They had lunch together before heading to the school an hour later. They played and won the match with ease. They all went back and everybody fell asleep on the drive home, even the bus driver. Nope, I meant except. They got back to their school and some of them headed to the locker room to change.

Bachira took his shirt off and opened his locker "Oh, I almost forgot!" He took something out of his locker and went to Isagi with a smile. "Here Yoichi, you forgot your clothes at my place." He winked and left to go back to his locker. A loud slam was heard shortly after and the flustered Isagi didn't dare look behind him. "Seriously?!" Chigiri shouted. Isagi slowly turned his head and saw a furious but perplexed Chigiri. "You guys haven't been dating for a fucking week! And you've already been at it?! What the fuck, Isagi?!" Chigiri now looked dumbfounded and surprised. "I swear, Chigiri.. It's- it's not what you think!!" Chigiri was about to pounce on Isagi but luckily Kunigami pulled him away just in time. "Hey hey, calm down.." Chigiri groaned and Kunigami picked him up bridal style and carried him away after apologizing to Isagi. He didn't hear what Kunigami said after that, the only words he could make out were 'misbehaving' and 'punished'. He brushed it off and continued changing out of his clothes. When he finished, he found Bachira waiting outside. He shot him a look and the brunette just laughed. "You did that on purpose!" Isagi yelled knowing what Bachira was doing. "I'm- sorry.. pfft-" Bachira made out these words in between his fit of laughter. Isagi started walking away with Bachira following behind him still trying to stop his laughter. "Well.. if I knew Chigiri was gonna get mad for that, I might as well should've done it." That phrase Isagi said made Bachira stop laughing in the blink of an eye and stop in his tracks. "Eh-?" The brunette wasn't sure if he heard the other boy right and he kept asking him to repeat what he'd just said. Isagi didn't tell Bachira anything while they kept walking. He kept his mouth shut with a smirk. "Tell meeeee~" Isagi rolled his eyes at the other boy. "Shut up." But Bachira kept going on and on, being as stubborn as he is. "Yoichiii!~ tell m-" The brunette was then cut off by Isagi pulling him by his shirt to kiss him. "I said quiet down, will ya?" Isagi repeated after he pulled away from the kiss.
 

Meguru was satisfied with this and didn't say a word after. The two boys then walked home together hand-in-hand. As they were walking Bachira stopped to look at something he saw across the road. It was a cat, a cat that looked just like the one they saw from the cat cafe. "What's wrong?" Isagi asked as soon as he noticed Bachira had stopped. Isagi followed where the brunette's eyes were looking at and found the cat. "Yoichi, Maybe it's a stray.. it looks just like Frisky." The cat was grooming itself and Bachira took a couple of steps towards it. 

"Meguru!!"

Just then, Bachira fell onto Isagi who had pulled him out of the way of the speeding car going straight towards him. "Holy shit, Bachira! You scared the living hell out of me! Are you okay??" He took a good look at Bachira, fear showing in his deep blue eyes before pulling him into a hug. "I'm alright Isagi.. thanks to you." He hugged the raven haired boy back. "There you are! I've been looking all over for you.. come on, let's go home." Bachira shifted his vision to see a little girl picking up the cat he had spotted. "Oh.. looks like the cat isn't a stray." Isagi pulled away from Bachira and looked at him closely. The look in his eyes and the tone of the brunette's voice was all it took for Isagi to understand. Isagi didn't like seeing Bachira sad. He wouldn't want his cheerfulness fade away right in front of his eyes. When he realized they were both still on the ground, he got up and helped the brunette to his feet. "Well.. you know, we are about to go to college soon. And I was really thinking about moving in together, and if we could.. we really can own a cat.." Isagi saw the brunette force a smile at him. But he could clearly see that the sadness was still there. "Ah, who am I kidding. Fine! I made a reservation for adopting Frisky. We'll be able to adopt her as soon as we find an apartment this summer.. That is, if you will move in with me?" The raven haired boy watched as the brunette's eyes light up little by little. "Really?! You did??" Isagi pouted at the beaming brunette. "Of course I did. But are you moving in with me or not?" Bachira jumped up and embraced the raven haired boy. "Yes!! Yes yes yes! I'd love to!" Isagi hugged the other boy back. When Bachira pulled away, he had tears in his eyes and a bright smile on his face. He gave Isagi yet another kiss, he knew very well that the other boy couldn't get enough of it just as much as he did. "I love you" Isagi had said it a lot of times but no matter how much he'd repeated it, he always felt like the simple phrase wasn't enough to tell Bachira how much he did love him. "I love you too." Even so, every time these two boys do this, it never gets old.
