Nigeria.🇳🇬Situations exist where you feel as though you've really not made any achievements all your life;
Mahira stepped onto the plane ladder, ensuring her right foot led the way. After 14 years, she returned to Nigeria, seeking good fortune. The argument with her father still lingered; his adamant stance had been unshakeable. Exhausted from debating, she surrendered, seeking divine guidance.
As she descended, the warm gust swept her neatly packed hair and Dior scarf aside. She felt herself inundated in flames of indescribable emotions that she herself could not explain. It's as if you've finally gotten what you've been praying for, but she never really did pray or wish to come to Nigeria.
A gentle nudge from behind brought her back to reality. A polite stranger smiled, gesturing for her to proceed, that was when she realized she apparently zoned out.
Mahira swiftly adjusted her disguise – a mask she wore in crowded areas to maintain anonymity. As an influential social media personality, she ironically shunned attention. Despite being fully covered, her presence drew stares. A man attempted to snap her picture, but her piercing glare sent him retreating, phone in hand.
Clutching her suitcase, Mahira surveyed her surroundings cautiously. She had intentionally packed light, preferring to shop locally. Nanny B would bring additional belongings upon arrival. Mahira's laziness often got the better of her.
Nanny B, now in her mid-30s, had cared for Mahira and Achraf since their mother's abrupt departure. Just 20 then, Nanny B selflessly nurtured the siblings, helping them navigate hardship alongside Ahmed Hakimi, who faced emotional turmoil.
Flashy top of the line luxurious vehicles, including a chevrolet tahahoe SUV along with six other black Q8-etron Audi cars were packed to pick the seemingly important expected guests who everyone in the entire Murtala Aliyu Dala's Household awaits their arrival. These are the type of cars that turn heads wherever they're drove to.
An elegant looking old man alongside some two young men match up to were the two siblings were standing, the older one greeted them politely while the two young men volunteered to help them with their luggage nevertheless satisfied with the expected outcome, they weren't disappointed. The two settled in.
The 25-minutes drive led them to Inna Ammi's residence, a castle like mansion. 'Mansion is an understatement' Mahira thought.
As they approach the grand entrance of the magnificent royal house, they are greeted by towering walls adorned with intricate and exquisite details. The gate itself is a masterpiece, with ornate ironwork and grand double doors that open wide to welcome them.
Once inside, they found themselves in a grand courtyard, surrounded by lush lustrous gardens and a large fountain.
The four story building stood tall emanating a daring view from one's sight of elevation.
Adjacent to the large building, a well built half wooden brick and half glass structure building stood, with a mixture of modern and traditional architecture with intricate design. And beside the building, one will sight an enormous sports arena, with different fields. By the other side of the enormous building, there is a large round glass house.
The path into the main seating room has so many intimidating flower carved statues that stood tall by each side of the incredible entrance door which is extraordinarily tall and elegant, with wooden interiors across the glass walls of the large door.
Upon entering, they're immediately struck by its grandeur. The ceiling soar high above, adorned with intricate frescoes and sparkling chandeliers that cast warm, golden glow. The room is filled with elegant furniture, plush velvet drapes, and gilded accents that add a touch of regal splendour.
"Are you sure we are in Nigeria?" Achraf asked dispatching his prada sunglasses from his eyes, while closely examining such work of art.
"Are you nuts?" Mahira asked him tilting her head a little to gaze at him, there is no way he'll be asking her if they are or not in Nigeria.
"It will be better if we maintain the little sanity in us and stop galvanising the house." She warned.
"Perfection!" He beamed.
"Sure!" She mini hissed(tsk).
