It had been hours since I had spoken to Padme, and I still liked her plan. The apartment was now bathed in the blue evening light of Coruscant. Anakin sat on the couch of the living room while I stood, letting the silence that surrounded me take effect on me, using it to make my mental connection to the subtler realm of the Force, to feel the life that surrounded me with the Force as clearly as if all five of my senses were attuned to it.

I had my eyes closed, but I could see my surroundings clearly, perceiving every disturbance in the Force. Abruptly I came out of my trance and opened my eyes again. My eyes jerked around the room and I took my lightsaber from my belt. Or I almost did, because I quickly stopped moving when the door opened and Master Kenobi and Master Palpatine walked in.

Obi Wan and Maven looked around curiously and then turned to us. "Captain Typho has more than enough men downstairs, no assassin would try that way." Obi Wan said. "Any activity up here?"  Maven then asked us. "Quit as a tomb. " I replied. "I don't like just waiting here for something to happen to her."

Obi Wan shook his head before taking a scanner from his belt and looking at the small screen. His face, where curiosity gave way to confusion and then concern, spoke volumes to the rest of us.

We knew that Obi Wan could only see part of Padme's bedroom, the door area, and R2-D2 and R8-D8 standing against the wall, but nothing else. The Jedi Master's expression posed the question even before Obi Wan had spoken the words.

"She covered the cameras. I don't think she liked us watching her."  Anakin explained while he stand up from the couch and walked over us. "What was she thinking?" Maven asked us in disbelief as he approached the senator's door, Anakin,Obi Wan and I followed.

"She programmed R2 and R8 to warn us if there's an intruder." I explained in an attempt to calm Obi Wan and Maven before concern prompted them to act. " There are many other ways to kill a senator." Obi Wan replied in frustration.

"I know, but we also want to catch this assassin." I said firmly, even stubbornly." Don't we,Master?" "You want to use her as bait?" Anakin questioned out of disbelief and shock. "It was her idea." I protested, but my sharp tone clearly showed that I had agreed with the idea.

"Don't worry. No harm will come to her. I can sense everything going on in that room. Trust me." I then said with a bit of arrogance."Timothee we all can, but sometimes we can't always sense it." Maven spoke up. "You can't always rely on the Force. You have to sometimes rely on your own skills alone, Timothee."

Obi Wan nodded his head in agreement. "I  agree with him . It's too risky to rely on the Force."He rebuked. "Besides, your senses aren't that attuned, my young apprentice."  I paid close attention to what I said and how I did it, because I didn't want to defend myself, but to convince my master. "And yours are?" "Possibly." He admitted with a hint of uncertainty.
