Outside of the kingdom, deep in the forest, was the royal mine, where the gold had disappeared; causing the kingdom's failures.

In the middle of the night, in the deepest and darkest area of the mine, two brothers worked long and hard, which will create unspeakable problems for the kingdom.

After finishing up his digging, one of the brothers, Mark Eshleman, noticed a rock on the table nearby. He suspected that the other brother, Frank, had done this.

He called his brother over to him.

"Frank, come here."

The punky man did as instructed.

"Okay, what idiot put this in here?" Mark asked; showing him the rock.

"Oh, that would be me." Frank replied.

Mark was livid.

"Let us review, shall we?"

He got in his face.

"We are stealing gold! Is this shiny?!"

"No." Frank replied; goofy.

"Valuable?!"

"No."

"Gonna make the boss happy?!"

"No."

"Focus, Frank! "That's what you need!"

Suddenly, they heard footsteps approaching them. The brothers quickly hid inside of a metal bin.

Quiet and elegantly, from the shadows of the mine entrance, Brendon Urie appeared, along with his faithful dog, Esteban.

He leaned over the bin that the brothers were hiding in and smiled.

"Why, hello."

"Master Brendon!" Frank cried. "You're back... here... early! I hope you had a nice journey!"

Suddenly, Esteban started barking at them, but Brendon was able to calm him down, which allowed Mark to show his master their work progress.

"Here you are, sir." He said. "The last of the gold from the Royal Mine."

He smiled.

"There is nothing left."

"Yeah!" Frank added. "'Cuz it's all yours!"

Brendon took the tiny piece of gold from Mark's hand.

"Yes, it is very much mine."

The wicked man smiled.

"Finally!"

(Start song)

(Brendon)
I've been bowing
I've been scraping
I've been lying like a rug
And for 10 long years I've had to pay my dues

But today I am escaping
For the last gold had been dug
It was waiting there, so how can I refuse?

I'm returning home a hero who's discovered mighty wealth
And what a better husband could a prince choose

I'm the suitor who will suit him
Bring the kingdom back to health
And I'll wear the crown, for how can I refuse?

Raise every glass and arouse every cheer
Praise that the reign of Brendon Urie is here
Master in charge of all that I see
All hail me!

And by marrying the prince
I get all that I desire
Like a moat, an ermine coat and palace views

Even though he treats me coldly
It's a sign of inner fire
For inside he's thinking, "how can I refuse?"

During his moment of victory, Mark blurted in.

"Right, except for this one little problem, boss."

"Prince Boss to you!" Brendon shouted.

"Right, the Queen decided to marry him off to Queen Jenna Black of Marietta next week."

"What!"

Brendon stormed towards the brothers.

"Making a decision without me?!"

He grabbed their throats.

"Who does she think she is?!"

"Uh, the Queen?" Frank replied.

"You simpering simpleton!" Brendon shouted.

"Well, she is the Queen. She's got a crown and a scepter and sits in her big fancy chair and always-"

"Silencio!"

(Brendon)
No! I won't let go!
This peasant son won't turn and run because some reckless royal chose another beau!

Suddenly, he had an idea.

"Ah!" It's, a..."

Temporary setback!
It's a momentary lapse
But conveniently my ego doesn't bruise

And the moment that I get back
I will show them whose the boss
You can bet your bullion there'll be no "I do's"

Yes, supposed the boy goes missing
So the king says "Au revoir"
Then I find him, bring him back and make the news

Then the queen will be so grateful
That she'll pledge the heir to moi
And I'll humbly tell her, how can I refuse?

When our ceremony's over
I'll arise and take the throne
And that nitwit Joshua Dun can kiss my shoes

For the kingdom and the castle will be mine and mine alone
If the crown should fit, then how can I refuse!

With the plan put in place, the three men join together in celebratory dance.

(Brendon, Mark and Frank)
So get ready with the roses
And stand by with the champagne
When you've got a brilliant plan you never lose

Yes, before this chapter closes
I'll be big as Charlemagne
It's a thankless job but, how can I refuse!

How can I refuse!!!

Brendon cackled through the mines; his laugh being carried out into the kingdom.

His plan to marry Joshua and become king was finally going to begin.
