18) Acceptance

Anna's pov*
Derek grabbed my hand and led me outside, "where are we going?" I asked comfused, in my head its hard to explain it but i can feel forest my wolf jumping around in my head. Why you so excited? I ask her, its been the first time ive spoken to her since... Hes taking us somewhere and hell i dont care were he takes us because we get to be with him! She screamed in my head. I only laughed quietly at her.

Derek didnt answer me, well not until we reach a small clearing a out 5 minutes past his place. "I want to show you something" he tells me as he moves us into the center of the clearing and sat down. I moved towards the earth and sat down crossed legged.

"Now close your eyes and listen to my voice" i follow his every word, closing my eyes and i let my body ease and focus on his words. "Ok now i need you to breath in... And out... In .... Out. Ok now that you are calm and focus, i want you to let your mind wonder outwards. Focus on all the sounds and smells around us, what do you smell and hear?" He explains to me. I take a moment as i focus on a smell, something to stange yet so delicious. I hear the sound of the water not far from us and the wind blowin in the trees. "I hear everything, the sound of the wind, the running water, the quiet sounds of animals quietly feeding on the grass. I can also smell everything, but i cant really focus on the other scents when all i can smell and hear is you"

I say as i open my eyes and look away from him towards the other sounds of the animals in the distance. I hear him laugh, i turn to him and raise my eyebrow at him. He smiles softly, "yes well im sorry little wolf but that wont change. I brought you out here to know that i know this is all so hard to take in, but i want you to know i will always be here to help you through it. These small steps like leadning to acknowledge the scents and sounds around you can be very helpful through this." He promises me as he grabs my hand, i couldnt help but feep happy, loved and cared for. Im not ready to love him yet, but im really to let him help me through this. Im not an idiot i do need him and i scense that he needs me to.

"Thank you, i probably wouldnt of been even able to think about any of this. If it wasnt for you, you have helpes me so much already, and with you by my side i know i can get through this" i thank him as i look at our hands.

I hear Dereks phone goes off.

I hear a low growl come from him as he sighs and grabs his phone, Max was on the other side of the phone. "Hey Derek you guys coming to school or staying with the pack?" He says through the phone. I sigh myself and i get up and brush myself off.

"We'll meet you at school dont worry" derek tells him before hanging up and putting his phone in his pocket. He then gets up and grabs my hand, dont worry i wont leave your side" he promises me as he head back to the house.

When we get to the house, derek goes to the garage and opens the door to his large to his jacket up ute. He then leads ne to the other side of the ute and helps me in, thankfully because i would of had to jump. He then moves to his side of the ute and hops in, the engine then roars to life and were driving down the driveway.
