26) phone call

Max's pov*
Its been a long couple of weeks, the amount of rouge attacks is driving us all insane. The last attack was 2 days days ago when Anna had her ceremony, though it took awhile shes now offically apart of our pack, and officalls our luna. The attack was at the after party. Luckly no one was killed only a handful was injured.

They are getting stronger by the day, every attack they make they grow bigger. Something very dangerous is on the horizon, and derek and Anna have been down eachothers neck because Anna is feeling guilty that peopls are gdtting hurt, she thinks its her fault but its not.

Im watching over her now as derek is at a meeting with local alphas trying to figure this all out. Anna has gotten stronger everyday, shes managed to tap into her demon side though she struggles with it alot.

"Max can we please go for a run or something,i cant stay here im gonna loose my mind" Anna complains as she plays with her fingers. I let out a small sigh "Lun- i mean Anna, you cannot go out there it is to dangerous im sorry." I say as i watch her get fustrated and goes upstairs.

Anna's pov*
I know he means well but i cant stay here i need to do something its driving me insane. Its bad enough that ive been fighting with derek so much that ive blocked him out,and ever since ive done that a new voics is now in my head. Her names Thana shes my demon i suppose.

I grab my phone which derek got my a few days ago. And was about to text stormy when a random call came through, comfused by who would have my number, i pressed answer.

"Hello?" I ask as i sit down on my bed.
"Hello Anna" i couldnt breath, i couldnt move, how? Thats is all i could think about.

"Now before you go and tell your little friend max, your Mate Derek or anyone. I want you to remember that day many years ago, the day when you poor mommy and daddy were so tragically killed by those wolves" i let out a small threatening growl which he clearly heard. "Now now Anna, i want you to be good, id hate to have that happen to your precious new family"

I cant believe it he was behind everything and now hes threatening to take away everything i have. "What do you want?!" I say quietly hearing footsteps coming up the stairs. "Anna, look im sorry ok but you have to understand that its to dangerous for you to be out there" Max says as he leans against my door.

"Get rid of him" Kolby whispers through the phone. I take a deep breath before talking to max, "i understand max, im sorry for the way i acted. But right now i just need to be left alone please and ill come back out later when im ready" he waits a moment before replying. "Im sorry ill let you be"

I hear max leave and goes down the stairs, "right hes gone now what so you want?!" I say as i go into the bathroom and turn the shower on incase max is listening. I hear his laughter threw the phone, "good girl now i want you to come and meet me tonight come to our home by 10pm dont be late and dont even think about bringing anyone. Or they will die. Now Anna go be a good girl and dont you forget do not tell anyone. Goodbye my love" he hangs up the phone. I fall to the ground and fall into peices.

This is what ive been wanting to go and deal with him once and for all. But i cant just leave everyone here, because i know once i leave ill never come home.

I feel Derek trying to get incontact with me, i let out a small sigh as i ignore him not wanting him to know im in this state. I plast some music and hop into the shower leaving my clothes on, i couldnt care i just need to forget for a moment. I let my mind wonder as the hot water flows over me.

My phone starts ringing and for a moment i didnt want to answer it. I took a deep breath before i turned off the shower and seen take derek was calling. I answered the call while taking my wet clothes off and putting a towel around me.
"Anna are you ok? Whats wrong?" Derek asks worries. I take a moment as i walk into my room to my closet,  "im fine derek" i say as i chuck. On a pair of jeans, a singlet, thick socks, and a thick jumper. "Anna im coming home ok, ill be there soon" i look at the clock realising its 9pm. "Ok babe i love you so fucking much. Please dont you ever forget that" i say before hanging up.

I quickly grab a duffle bag and chuck a heap of clothes and other things in there before taking a note and pen out. And i wrote, 'dear Derek, hey babe im so sorry i had to do this,but i cant let him hurt you or anyone else ever again. I love you to the moon and back, no scratch that i love to hell and back. Please dont blame Max he desnt know anything and neither did you please dont beat yourself up over this. If theres a chance that i get to see you again...hell id do anything but i need to do this first i cant be with you until hes offically dead.Please dont try to find me. Im so sorry i love you.

I slid the note under the pillows and threw my bag on my bag, i have about 5 minutes before derek gets here. I look outside and see its pitchblack out there, i climb out of the window and jump the 20f. Landing quietly i quickly dash for the forest,moving behind a tree i quickly take my clothes off and chuck them into my duffle bag. Shifting into my wolf i look around and notice that no one has followed me yet.

I grab my bag and start running north. "Anna where are you?! Anna!" I hear derek in my head but i keep running. "Im sorry but find my note that will explain everything" i say before blocking the ml.

About 20minutes goes by and im running down an old track that i remeber all to well when i know im close enough. I stop and find a place to shift,once im human i chuck my clothes on and slowly walk inside.

I know hes here i can smell him, i take a deep breath before entering the house. "Kolby i know your here,show yourself" i growl as i finally hear his slow steps, i finally see him walking into the kitchen.

"You came, i was worried i might of had to come and get you myself" he laughs and he walks up to me. He looks me up and down smiling, "oh you look beautiful, i seen you have grown into your demon aswell" he says as he brushes his fingers over the side of my face.

I move my face away from his fingers disgusted in him. "Come on baby lets go home" he says with a smugged look before grabbing my arm and taking me outside to a dark vehicle. And puts me into the back before starting the vehicle up and takes me goddess knows where.
