It was Elliot's first day of sophomore year, he waited outside the school nervously for his best friend Brielle.
They have known each other since kindergarten and now were going into 10th grade together.
Brielle was not a people person. She loved staying home and reading in her bed.
Elliot was the complete opposite, he loved going out and partying with his friends.
Although they were pretty different Brielle and Elliot were always there for each other.
Brielle would go to party's with Elliot if he really wanted her to and if Brielle asked Elliot to stay in with her he wouldn't hesitate to say yes but that wasn't entirely because Brielle asked, she had an older brother, Alex.
Elliot's crush on Alex began one day near the end of 8th grade, when he went over to see Brielle.

FLASHBACK

*knock knock*
Alex opened the door. "Uh is Brielle here?" He asked
"no she's out somewhere with our mom. They shouldn't be to long you can just come in and wait." Alex replied, and so Elliot walked into the house.
As he sat down on the couch Alex sat with him. Elliot was confused but didn't bother saying anything since this wasn't his house.
20 minutes go by and Brielle is still not home. Elliot was starting to get bored.
"Ughhh" he groaned " when is your sister coming I'm bored." Elliot said to Alex .
"fuck Idk she's a girl they always take long."
Both boys laughed.
"remind me your how old again? Like 13?" Alex asked him.
"Uh yeah I'll be 14 in a few weeks." He replied.
"You wanna get high?" Alex blurted out while holding a joint in his hand.
" hell yeah!" He said in response.
Alex dragged him down into the basement where his room was and opened the window as he lit the joint.
Little did Alex know that was Elliot's first time smoking weed.
After that day things changed for Elliot. He began smoking a lot and started hanging out with Alex in secret.
Brielle knew that Elliot drank but he didn't want to tell her that he started smoking with her brother of all people.
Elliot had never really cared for Alex as they grew up, he was always Brielle's weird older brother but now Elliot seen him as much more.

Soon grade 8 ended for Brielle and Elliot. Brielle was going away for the summer to some bible study camp in Michigan her mom wanted her to go to. Their mom was a very busy lady. She knew Alex could take care of himself the summer but she knew that Brielle would've spent the summer locked in her room so she decided to send her to camp. Ms. Addams (Alex and Brielle's mom) was going to Michigan for work this summer that's why she sent Brielle to camp there. They live in a small city outside of Phoenix Arizona so she was going away pretty far, but that meant that Elliot and Alex could spend more time together.

ON THE DAY THEY LEFT FOR MICHIGAN

"I'm sorry I have to leave for the summer Eli" Brielle said to him
" it's okay B we just have to make up for the fun we could've had when you get back." Elliot said to her with a smile
"Yeah okay we can do that" Brielle smiled back
Alex said goodbye to his mum and saluted to Brielle before they got into the car.
Elliot and Alex stood waving as they drove away.
"I got some more pot from Jacob wanna go smoke it?" Alex said to Elliot with a smirk.

*few hours later*

"I'm hungry" Elliot said to Alex completely stoned
"Let us go eat, haha lettuce" Alex said laughing as he stood up from bed
He grabbed Elliot's hand to help him up.
As they giggly made their way up the stairs Elliot noticed that Alex was still holding his hand. It made him feel warm inside.
"what do you want to eat?" Alex said as he swung the fridge door open
"Do you got Froot loops?" He asked
Alex poured him a bowl of Froot Loops and got himself cookies to eat
While Elliot was sitting there eating Alex made a penis out of Froot Loops and started laughing hysterically.
Confused Elliot looked over and seen what he was laughing at and bursted out laughing almost chocking on his food.
With his mouth full laughing Elliot said "peniths"
For some reason they thought it was hilarious and both were dying laughing gasping for air.
Alex's new nickname for Elliot became "peniths" thanks to that incident.
Those two spent the whole summer together getting high, drinking, and having fun.
Elliot was sad though because he wanted to tell Brielle so bad but didn't know how she would react.
He was pretty sure she knew he was gay but she definitely didn't know he liked her brother.
you would never guess it.
Elliot doesn't look or act gay in anyway but he's known for awhile that he's into guys.
