Bridget's POV (mostly her thoughts)
20 Minutes later
We were standing outside, each holding a small, light bag. Mine had a pair of clothes and some snacks in it. Libby and I borrowed a map from a crab (a very kind crab) that will lead us to the house that Mary lives in. The crab gave us a picture of the house (at the beginning of the chapter) and warned us that we might not come back. I called Over some dolphins, feeding them squid, and they swam over, ready for the journey, just like us. We set off, holding onto the smooth backs of the two dolphins. We were almost at the point where we had to find new dolphins, though this time they needed to be freshwater. We have been swimming for about two hours in the freshwaters. It has been five hours since we started our trip. Thankfully, we only ran into a few harmless reef sharks, nothing big or life-threatening. Although I probably just jinxed it. Oh well. (Imagine the highest pitched scream ever)
"HELP ME PLEASE SOMEONE!" Yep, I definitely jinxed it. Anyway, back to reality. Alth-"HEEEEEEEELLLllllpp!" Yeah, I'd better-"Please, help meEEEEEE!" .............
"BRIDGET! SWIM!!!!" Libby screamed. I picked her up, and swim. About...I don't know...2 miles per second? Yeah, about right. I set her down once we were a good 10 acres away.
"I think this is good enough,"
I said.
"Yeah."
"Hey!" I said. "There's the Neptune Memorial, the second to last landmark on the map! We're almost there!"
"But the map didn't mention us, did it?" A low, creepy voice said. I turned around and gasped. We're in big trouble now.
