It took a while 'til we got to Coco's room, but when we did get there, the comfy chairs were worth the walk. Coco's room was white with light green dots. It reminded me of mint . . . mint girl scout cookies . . . Mmmmmm.
Talking about food, someone came in with a platter of cheese and crackers. Libby went for the blue cheese and brie while I ate all the cheddar. Coco was getting treated by an elf doctor while we acted like pigs and stuffed our faces.
Now that I think about it, I feel really greedy and guilty we didn't save any for her. I'll think of something to do later.
"Enjoy the cheese and nails, dears?"
The medical elf left the room and Coco turned towards us.
I almost spit my food out onto the beautiful, extremely clean, black and white rug. "Nails?" I said.
"As in toenails?" Libby asked.
"Mhm." Coco said, giggling. "Yeah, no. I'm just kidding you guys. It's been a while since I've been able to try to be funny without getting in trouble . . . I am a princess, you know."
"So, are we going to go fight the demon or not?" Libby impatiently asked.
"I think my soldiers are ready-"
"Soldiers. You have soldiers. Are we even going?" I mean really, does this woman have a secret army in her basement too?
" Sherri, Terri, Sasha, and Albert. They're just like my guards, but they'll definitely help fight-and you guys are coming no matter what. Ok? We have to go now." Coco walks out of the room and Libby and I hurry to catch up. Couldn't she wait? Elves walk so fast.-----
I've discontinued this book, since it's been years since I have written it, but I decided to publish this last draft, even though it isn't done.
