୨⎯Hers⎯୧Ava hesitated for a moment, her fingers hovering over the keyboard. She was nervous for some reason, but couldn't quite figure out why. She and Inara had talked so many times before, yet tonight, something felt different. Maybe it was because she was the one reaching out first this time. Taking a deep breath, she finally typed out the message.
She stared at the screen, watching the three little dots appear and disappear as Inara typed back. Her heart raced a bit faster than usual, anticipation mixing with excitement.
Ava smiled at the message. Inara always knew how to make her feel comfortable, even with just a few words.
She tapped send and leaned back on her bed, waiting for the reply. Outside, the rain drizzled softly against the window, the rhythmic sound calming her nerves a little.
Her heart thudded in her chest as she waited, wondering if it was too soon to ask for a FaceTime call. She wanted to hear Inara's voice, see her smile, and maybe even feel a little more connected than just through text.
Ava bit her lip before typing.Inara💟

Answer/Decline
Ava drummed her fingers on the side of her phone, staring at her own reflection on the screen as she waited for Inara to answer. Her heart fluttered in anticipation, the seconds feeling heavier with each passing moment. The soft hum of the city outside her window felt distant, the sounds blurring into the background as all her focus remained fixed on the screen in front of her. She adjusted her hair nervously, wondering if she looked okay, then exhaled slowly, reminding herself that it didn't really matter, it was Inara, after all.
A second later, the screen flickered and flashed, and there she was Inara. Ava's breath hitched as she took in the sight. Inara was smiling, her dark hair slightly messy, but in the cutest way possible, strands of it falling across her forehead in a way that made her look effortlessly beautiful. Her warm, chocolate-brown eyes sparkled through the screen, and Ava couldn't help but smile back.
