Crowley loved the stars.
Since the beginning, he's loved the stars.
Unfortunately.. When he fell the stars became harder and harder too see. The first thing was his eyes. The snake like pupils had a harder time of catching the light of the far away stars. Then pollution, the smog and smoke. And after that more specifically light pollution.
Now I know what you're thinking. If he loved the stars so much, why would he spend so much of his time in a big city like London?
Well the answer is quiet simple really. He had reminders. He had grown fond of jewelry, and while he didn't wear much he did collect it. And would surprise a certain someone with new cufflinks every once in a while.
Then there was the water. While he couldn't see the sky very well, every once in a while it would reflect perfectly off of a pond or a stream. Giving him a view that was a near perfect mimic of the real thing.
And then there was Aziraphale.
Again, I know; You're probably wondering how Aziraphale could possibly remind Crowley of the stars themselves. You could say some cliche about how it's because he's just as beautiful, which in a way would be true. But that's not the most honest answer.
In reality it was the angel's eyes; A soft blue only rivaled by the sky itself. Crowley adored them. Especially when Aziraphale was particularly happy about something. For just that moment, they sparkled with a light that Crowley couldn't look away from if he tried.
Because after all
Crowley loved the stars.{saw a head cannon about Crowley's eyes.
I was DISTRAUGHT.
So I made this to cope.
Hope you enjoyed <3}
