I stop at the end of the hall waiting for Cameron to end her conversation with Laroi. I wonder why he is even back here. I'm sure it's to hurt my best friend again.
My thoughts are interrupted as I see her leave Laroi and walk up to me.
"What was that about?" I ask her while getting into step with her.
"He asked for us to talk after school," Cameron says to me.
I'm surprised at this information. Why would Laroi want to talk to Cameron after all he did to her and I hope this girl didn't give into him like she always did.
"And what was your answer?" I ask.
"I agreed to it." She answers me with no emotion in her voice. Telling me that her mind is far away.
"Why?" I ask calmly.
"He just seemed really different, like he really needed to talk to me about something important", She says to me.
"Are you sure about this, Cameron?" I asked.
"I don't know Kiki, but there was something about the way he spoke to me that melted my heart. I have to hear him out, not just for him, but for me as well, " Cameron explains to me.
"OK, Cameron. I'm with you every step of the way. "
"Thank you Kiki" She gives me a quick hug and runs to her next class, which she is extremely late for.
