I returned home on Tuesday after school fully back to normal. Well, as normal as I can be without talking to Alpha for so long.

Kiki dropped me off and waved me bye. I walked inside, and as usual, no one was there.

"Mum. Dad. Is anyone home?" I call out.

No reply.

I drag my bag to my room and take out all the stuff, and deposit them where they belong. I change my clothes and walk to the kitchen. I have a glass of water and take an apple, and walk back up to my room.

I take my books out of my bag and try to do some homework. School has been OK. Wherever I see Laroi, I turn the other way. It's not because I'm ashamed of myself or embarrassed or anything, but anytime I see him, I remember how I picked him over Alpha, and it's not like he wants to talk to me anyway. After what he said that night, I think he's said more than enough to me, and he's satisfied now.

It still hurts because Laroi was my first love, and yet he broke my heart again. It's my fault, really. I still allowed him back. I still gave him a free ticket back into my life, into my heart.

For our English assignment. She asked us to write a poem on love. In our poem, we are to express our opinions and feelings about love. She wants to know what we think love is.

That would have been easy for me two weeks ago, but now, my brain can't make up a line. I'm still battling with the feelings I have for Alpha. I can't place what they are. It's making me crazy, but it's not like it matters. He won'tpick my calls. I've even sent him messages. No reply. He doesn't want to talk to me.

I close my English note and decide to do something else. I finish the rest and leave English undone. I'll do it later. I hear the sound of a car, and moments later, the front door opens, and I rush downstairs to see who it is.

"Daddy." I run up to him and give him a hug. "I missed you."

"I missed you too, Cam. How are you?"

"I'm good and you?"

"I'm fine."

"How was your day?"

"Stressful."

"And school?"

"Stressful."

"Liv is coming on Friday. Did she tell you?"

"She did."

"Are you good, dear?"

I hug him again.

"I am, dad."

"Good. I'll go freshen up."

"Ohk."

He walks away and disappears as he walks up the stairs. I decided to stay downstairs and watch Criminal Minds. Shortly after, mum enters the house.

"Hey, mum."

"Hi, honey."

"How was the trip?"

"Good."

"How is Kiki?"

"She's good."

With that, she walks up to her room. She comes back down a little while later and goes to the kitchen.

"Cameron."

"Yes, mum."

"Could you help me out?"

I walk to the kitchen.

"Sure."

"Great."

"What do I do?"

"You could help me blend this."
