"Just leave, Laroi." I wipe the tears from my eyes and turn to look out the window.

"Cameron?" His voice begs me.

"Please, Laroi. Don't come back. Promise me that you'll leave."

"I can't do that. How will I survive without you?"

"Oh, trust me when I say you can."

"You have to understand, Cameron. I can't just leave."

"Why? Why can't you?"

"Because......"

"You said you could do anything for me. Didn't you?"

"I did."

"Great! So leave. Don't come back. I don't want to see you again. I don't want you close to me. "

He tries to step close to me. I take two steps back to give us more distance.

"Please, Cam."

"Don't call me that." My voice is breaking. The pain in my chest is so severe. It literally hurts.

He just does not get it. He doesn't understand how much he has hurt me. That's why he will not just leave.

"Ohk. I'll leave."

I look at him with disbelief. He's not meant to give into me so easily.

He's supposed to fight. Fight for me. Fight for us.

"Cool."

"Can I get a hug before I go?"

"No."

He takes a deep breath and sighs.

"I'm really sorry, Cameron."

"Yeah, me too."

"I didn't mean to hurt you. I never wanted to hurt you. I just don't know how all this happened."

"Me, neither."

"I hope you find it somewhere in your heart to forgive me."

He steps closer to me again. His eyes are teary.

I could swear that he was actually crying that night.

He places a kiss on my cheek. His cologne hits me one last time before he walks away forever.

"Bye, Cameron."

"Bye, Laroi."

He walks out the door. I see only his figure retreating.

He steps into his car and drives away.

And just like that, he was out of my life.

So I thought.

I wipe the tears from my face and walk out of the café that we would always go to after school.

I walk over to my car, start the engine, and drive home, imagining my world and life without Laroi in it.
