Alpha

Monday morning, and she's still on my mind.

Cameron was the last thought I had before going to bed last night, and I still woke up with her face in my head.

Her beautiful smile when she came to I and my mum. She was so polite and sweet.

Damn

I need to see her again. She's probably at school right now, and I'm here thinking of her. What do I do?

I drag myself off the bed and walk to the bathroom. Splash water on my face and brush my teeth.

Walking downstairs, I can see mum cooking in the kitchen.

"Hey, mum." I call out to her.

"Hi, sweetie. How did you sleep?"

Not really well. It's like she haunted me in my sleep. "Good mum." I say out instead.

"Come and have breakfast. " I sit at the table, mum sets a plate in front of me, and places three pancakes on it. She also sets a cup of coffee down for me. I love her.

"Hey, mum?" I need to know how I will be able to see Cameron again.

"Yeah." Her attention is not really on me anymore as she tries to rearrange the kitchen.

"Are we going to church on Sunday." I decide to go straight to the point. She's quiet for so long that I have to call out to her again.

"Ma." I call out to her louder. Mum turns around with an angry expression on her face.

"Why are you shouting, Alpha? I heard you." I'm too impatient to be calm.

"So what's the answer, Ma?" I'm expecting and praying her answer will favour me.

Mum's taking such a long time to give me a reply. Everywhere is suddenly quiet, and I can hear my heart. It's beating so fast and loud.

"Why do you ask Alpha?" She finally responds. This is not the response I was hoping for.

"I really liked the service, and I just wanted to know if we'll go back or not."

"Is it the service you liked or the young lady?" Mum is blushing now. She wants to get mischievous.

"Haha. Mum, please." I try to hide my smile.

"I'm just asking, sweetheart. I saw the way you kept looking at her, and when she came to us, you were in a trance." Mum is definitely right, but I won't admit to that.

"Not at all, mum. I'm just asking because I liked the service." Returning to her question.

"Ok. Yes, we will go there for service on Sunday." Why is she still blushing?

"Cool." I'm trying to sound neutral, but she's still looking at me funny. "I'll be in my room, mum."

I close the door of my room behind me, and immediately, I'm dancing and jumping up and down.

I do agree that I'm acting like a teenage girl, but I can't help it. I get to see Cameron on Sunday:)

Time, for some reason, is so slow. It's only been two days since my mum gave me amazing news.

I really can't wait for Sunday. It's Wednesday, and I was taking a walk in the neighbourhood, but then I drifted farther. I'm on an unfamiliar foot path in the woods, and I must say it's really beautiful and so peaceful.

I'm about to turn back when my attention is drawn by the sound of a stream. Obviously, I'm gonna check it out. Walking towards the stream, I'm amazed by the beauty it possesses.

The trees surrounding the stream are a beautiful, vibrant shade of green. The water is sparkling as the rays of the sun fall on it, making it look like diamonds are scattered in the water.

The sky above is beautifully decorated with clouds. The wind blowing is peaceful and refreshing. This area is so serene. I could get lost here.

I take a seat on the grass and take my shoes off, dipping my feet in the stream. I feel so relaxed right now, and I'm so glad I found this place.

A little time passes by, but I'm still in the same position until I hear footsteps approaching the stream. I sit up straight just in case of anything.

I look towards the entrance awaiting my unwanted guest, but as soon as I lay my eyes on her, I'm shocked. I didn't expect in a million years to ever meet her like this, so unexpected and in no way planned.

I don't even know how I got on my feet. My whole attention is focused solely on her. Cameron, obviously, is equally shocked to see me. Her eyes are wide open, and her mouth as well.

Cameron is putting on black joggers and a black tank top with white sneakers. She's putting on simple earrings and a smart watch on her right wrist, bangles on the left.

Her black her is tied in a playful bun. She doesn't have any makeup on. I don't think she wears makeup. She looks so beautiful.

I should say something, but my throat is suddenly dry, and I've lost my tongue. Shit.

"Hi." She's talking to me. I should say something.

"Hey. Cameron, right?" Why did I just ask that, of course I know her name. That name has been stuck in my mind since Sunday.

"Yeah, and you must be Alpha?" Sarcasm drips from her voice. I blew it with the name thing. Shit.

I'm thinking of what to say. I'm so worried that I've ruined my chances before they actually arrive.

I'm about to apologise when I hear her laugh. I looked up shocked at first, but after a while, I'm glad she's not annoyed.

Her laugh really is contagious, and before I know it, I'm laughing too. Her eyes are closed, and her hands are placed on her stomach. She's even more beautiful when she laughs.

"I'm sorry, but you looked so cute worrying over there. I couldn't help laughing." I'm blushing now.

"Yeah, yeah." That's all I can think of saying. "What are you doing here?" She's now sober and looking at me with a smile on her face. Her smile is warming my heart.

"I come here all the time." She gives me a reply. "Really? That's nice."  I say.

"What do you do here?"

"Nothing. I just sit by the stream, dip my feet in the water, and allow myself to drift away. This is actually my favourite place." Her arms are out stretched, and she turns around. She really is beautiful.

"What are you doing here?" It takes some time for me to realise that the question was thrown at me.

"I just found this place a while ago."

"That's cool. It's a really magical place." Cameron is already sitting, and her feet are in the water.
