The fight continued for long minutes in which the droids did everything possible to regain lost ground. Roy's strategy was very effective, but since he always passed when facing the droids, the strategies could be overcome with simple brute force and a lot of numbers.
The men of the 194th were beginning to fall one by one before the enemy fire. Those who were furthest from the junk wall had the greatest risk of being hit. The droids pressed harder and harder, and already Roy, Hammer and the commander along with the men stationed below were finding it more difficult to hold their position. If the 212th did not have something drastic, soon the 194th was doomed.
Clone: - Commander! We are losing many men! We must retreat! -
Hammer: -Negative soldier. If we leave this position we will be a perfect target shot. -
Commander: - Resist soldiers! Help is on the way! Take it for granted!
The clones got a second boost to their morale. They were ready to fight with all their might, but only those closest to them could see the commander's concern. The situation was precarious and depended on support that might not arrive on time. Suddenly.
Clone: - Artillery fire! -
The soldier's shout put everyone on alert. Artillery fire? The situation could not get worse. They were up against a rock and a hard place, an easy target for fire from a distance. Fortunately, the target of the salvoes were not the clones.
BOOM! BOOM! BAM!
Explosions shook the ground and stirred up debris. The droids behind the pile of junk were flying through the air as their positions were embraced by deadly artillery fire. The 194th was saved, hold position and regroup near their commander.
Clone: - They are one of ours! It's the general and the 212th! -
The clones celebrated the top of their colleagues. Just in time to avoid his tragic fate. The clones looked up at the sky in praise of the LAAT/i shuttles that dropped hundreds of clones of the 212th onto the battlefield. Only two of the 194th's clones were looking at something else.
Hammer and the commander looked at the strange attitude of the Padawan. Rather than celebrating his victory, Roy was more focused on tucking his lightsaber under his robes. They could swear that he was the one with the purple blade, which was a bit strange for the clones. If he had kept both sabers, it wouldn't be weird, or else he could have left it hanging on his belt, but no. He works hard to keep it. What was the young Padawan hiding? They guessed what they might ask him later. Now they had to deal with another being. Well, one of the shuttles had left General Pablo-Jill a few meters from his position.
Paul: - Commander. It's good to see them alive. -
Commander: - The pleasure is mine general. -
Pablo: - Captain, Lieutenant.-
Roy/Hammer: - General. -
Pablo: - A very risky strategy without a doubt. So far in front of enemy lines. But using their destroyed bodies as a barrier was very ingenious. -
Commander: - Actually... -
Roy: - He had to have seen it! He interrupted hastily. -He jumped in front of the unit and we all followed him. We didn't know what he was thinking, but when we managed to contain the tinkers, everything became clear. -
Paul: - Lieutenant. I remind you that it is impolite to interrupt a superior. -
Roy: - Oh... I... I'm sorry. -
Pablo: - It's not me you should ask for forgiveness. -
Roy:-Oh. Sorry Commander, I was so excited I didn't realize it. I hope you'll excuse me. -
