Pilot: - Enemy fire! -
The clone's voice boomed over the comms. The sound of explosions could be heard everywhere, and the shuttles shook violently. The anti-aircraft fire from the bunkers stationed on the slopes of the mountain system was much more abundant than expected, and the clone transports were dropping like flies.
Each Jedi and Padawan were on different transports, each with a different objective. Still, although communications seemed impossible in the face of so much firestorm and basters, the long-awaited call arrived on Master Pablo's communicator.
Roy: - Master. We are in position. -
Pablo: - Very good, Padawan. Proceed with care. And if the situation warrants it, leave. Understood? -
Roy: - Yes... General. - End the call.
Hammer: - Hey Roy. Ready for a good fight. -
Roy: - You can bet on them. See you on land... Captain. -
Hammer: - See you there. -
They were both on the same shuttle, and their words seemed to express complete trust in each other. Still, they both had two completely different missions.
Roy: - Very good guys! On going! -
After transmitting his order, hundreds of shuttles opened their side hatches, revealing the chaos of the battle around them, and just below, the position they must reach at all costs.
Without wasting a second, dozens of clones swooped down, following the Padawan lieutenant, who was the first and leader of the group.
Two meters separated them from their objective, and the shots did not stop before their crazy free fall. There were barely a hundred men, men crazy enough to follow the young Padawan into the craziest battle of all. Even so, they knew that much of the success of this mission rested on his shoulders.
The rocky ground was approaching rapidly, and the accumulated speed was the only thing preventing the droids from aiming precisely and taking them down in full free fall. And just about fifty meters from the ground, they activated the rocket backpacks, abruptly changing their trajectory towards the highest peak of the mountain.
Roy had no problem copying the strategies of Master Plo Koon and the 104th Battalion, the Wolfpack, although on a much smaller scale than an assault the size of the Wolf Pack.
His mission was simple. They had to fly over the area, avoiding enemy fire using the mountain system itself as cover and destroy as many Separatist anti-aircraft defenses as possible. The dangerous J-1s that were stationed on platforms protruding from the mountain's crust.
