Chapter 10

Nikki's POV

I walked into the office building smiling a little bigger and feeling amazing. I dressed a bit differently from my usual pant suit outfit. I wore the same thing but instead of pants it was a skirt cut a bit under my knees. I walked passed Mya and entered my office and took a seat in my chair and not even a minute later she busted through the door.

"You got some didn't you?"

"I don't know what your talking about?" I say opening up my desk drawer before throwing my keys onto my desk.

"Girl come on now, tell me, tell me, tell me"

"I met a man" she squealed and shut my door closed.

"His name is T——" A knock interrupted me and Mya groaned before opening up the door. A bouquet of flowers were in our delivery man's hand.

"Miss. Jackson these came for you, oh and Mya the boss wants to see you" Mya smiled but quickly covered it up.

"Ugh, what does he want now?" She complained but I knew good on well she has been ready to see him all day. She excused herself and I took the flowers before thanking him and sending him on his way. I smelt the beautiful pink roses and saw a card attached to them.

How about a lunch date, on me?- Trey

I smiled at the flowers and grabbed the empty vose that had been siting there since the last time I got flowers, filled it up with water and placed the flowers inside. Definitely a good addition to the office. I hummed and put away some of my early cases before my work phone rang out. I answered on the third ring.

"Miss Jackson speaking"

"You know you sound extremelysexy when you have a perfessional voice?" Trey says and i let out a laugh

"How can I help you Mr. Harter"

"Did you receive my package?" He asks and I take a quick glance at the flowers.

"Yes, they are very nice, thank you"

"So does that mean you accept my offer"

"Yes Trey I'll go to lunch with you"

"Good" we talk for a bit before he has to go. We say our goodbyes and I hang up before doing my work.

"How was your day?" He asks while sipping on his drink. Even though it was such a normal jester,  he made it look so seductive. The way his lips caressed the glass had my body stirring up with different emotions.

"It was good. I got a lot of work done and everyone complemented me on my flowers. Once again, thank you"

"No problem" we finished our meals before paying and leaving the restaurant to take a walk.

"What's the best thing about your job?"

"Working with the kids, I mean, there is nothing better then being able to help the kids in some way. Being able to build recreation centers where students can stay off the streets." He continued

"I wish I could spend more time with kids and make a difference but I never know where to start I guess" I say before taking a sip

"Well if your not busy Friday, we need some inspiration and I'm sure the students would love to hear you speak. I would love to hear you speak" Trey says

"I'd love to speak to them but I don't know where the place is"

"Well I can pick you up, we can catch some dinner and then head over there" I raised an eyebrow to his request
