~Y/n POV~

It's the first class of the day. It's art. The teacher was talking about a test that he would hold in a few days so he could understand what level we were at. The students seemed nervous as they took notes on the upcoming test. Some whispered to each other about studying together to prepare.

Right then, the door slowly creaked open, and a face popped out. It was the same guy from yesterday. He seemed to be examining the classroom before grinning and getting inside.

"Jeonghan! Why are you late?" The professor sternly questioned the guy, who's apparently called Jeonghan.

"Oh- sir! I didn't see you there!" The guy bowed as he stopped grinning.

"This is the first day, and you are already late. Why?" The professor asked him in an angry tone.

"Oh, you know... traffic." The guy replied with an unsure face while scratching the back of his head.

The professor sighed and gestured for him to go and sit before he continued teaching.

The one-hour class is over, and it was quite interesting. I wrote down that I have to work on the upcoming art test on my palm as a remainder before I grabbed my bag to go out. I have an hour before my next class anyway.

Just as I headed outside, a guy ran towards me and accidentally knocked me down. He abruptly stopped before offering to help me gather my belongings from the floor while apologising constantly.
But he seemed to be in a hurry, so I let him go quickly.

I sighed and started to get up, and my hand searched the air for some support, but it soon came into contact with a firm hold. Somebody was holding my hand.

I looked at the person and recognised him as the guy from art class. Jeonghan, I think.

He was smiling at me while he helped me up. But I was caught off guard when he started gathering my belongings for me.

"What are you doing?" I stopped him by holding his hand, but he had already gathered everything, and he sheepishly handed me my stuff while dusting it off.

"Here you go," he said.

"I could've done that." I told him before keeping everything back in my bag.

"But I did it already." He reasoned unnecessarily.

"Thanks." I sighed and started walking away, but he soon caught up with me.

"That was the most I've heard you talk." He commented as he matched his pace with mine.

"Have you even heard me talk before?" I asked him, clearly annoyed because of his nosy demeanour.

"Obviously I have! This morning," he stopped talking when he realised his phone was ringing. Taking it out, he started talking to someone, and I took my cue to leave. As I walked away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that the conversation was over. I made a mental note to avoid him in the future to prevent any further unnecessary interactions.

Walking towards the cafeteria, I met Lee Yumin, and she happily hopped towards me with a tray full of food. Damn, I was hungry already.

She and I found an empty table and took our seats.

"So, spill the tea!" She said it with a wink.

"Huh?" I was confused. There was no tea.

"Oh, come on! I heard Jeonghan is your friend." She inquired with another smile.

"Who said that?" I'm even more confused.

"I don't know; I heard some random girls snicker about it in the bathroom. Well, maybe they just misunderstood." She concluded while placing a slice of apple in her mouth.

"Is this why you called me here?" I sighed.

"Yes and no. I need to make you eat! Also, I called two other ladies as well. They will be here soon." She added on before stuffing her mouth with fries.

"Who?" I asked; I don't like to unnecessarily socialise. Maybe I should make that clear from now on.

"You'll see." She replied with a cute smile.

"Um, hi guys!" A melodious voice spoke up from somewhere behind me.

Looking back, I saw two girls, around the same age as us, standing there. They quickly bowed and joined us at the table.

"They are our roommates," Yumin explained while sharing her apple with them.

"Oh, hi." I greeted them with a slight smile.

"Oh! I saw you smile!" Yumin cheered happily while pointing at me.

"We heard you guys are 19; we are younger. We will do our best, and we hope you treat us well, seniors." One of the girls said it with a cute smile.

"I'm Kim Mi-jung from the dance department," the one with the cute smile said.

"I'm Yoon Jisoo from the dance department as well," the other girl added on. "We are excited to be your roommates and learn from you both," Kim Mi-jung said with enthusiasm. Yoon Jisoo nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

We went back to class and began our second lesson, which is Cinematography.

"To be organised, I will be dividing the class into 4 groups. These groups will be permanent and will do assignments together for the rest of the year. The group list will be emailed to everyone today. If you have any objections, just let me know by tomorrow." The professor announced this before he was done with the class.

Closing my book and gathering my belongings, I stood up to go back to the dorm since today's classes were over. There were only two classes today because it was the first day.

As I was walking out of the classroom, somebody called me from behind. It was Jeonghan.

"I didn't know you were in this class too!" He commented with a pretty bright smile.

"Now you do." I replied before starting to walk again, but he caught up with me and continued to talk.

"Are you going back? To the dorm?" He asked me while he placed his hands in his pockets.

"Yes," I replied before stopping.

Maybe I should step out of my comfort zone. I've lived my whole life talking only when necessary and not being fond of affection. But this is college, one of the most important times of my life, and only friendships and all those social activities.

I'm getting a chance to create a new set of memories, good or bad, and I want to grab the chance before it disappears.

So I take a deep breath in and look at Jeonghan, who is patiently waiting for me to speak, and I say, "Do you want to have coffee together?"
