Ch.3 The Curse

Aleu's POV

Another day of intense training, Griffin is pushing me twice as hard, I need to catch my breath when his back is turned, I manage to slip away heading to the forest.

" Alright Aleu let's see how your-."

Griffin looks around he lets out a frustrated huff and crosses his arms.

" I swear that girl will never learn anything if she keeps running off."

Griffin heads inside to the throne room Derek stands as he approaches.

" What is it, Griffin?"

" She took off yet again."

" She's never going to learn if she keeps running off, where does she go?"

" I'm not sure, I turn my back for one second and next thing I know she's gone."

" I see, and have I introduced you to my daughter?"

" No, you haven't."

" Griffin this is Shayla my pride and joy."

" Hello, Princess honor to meet you."

" You as well Griffin."

" I know you'll make us all proud someday Princess Shayla."

" I hope I can live up to everyone's expectations."

" You'll do great."

" Griffin, would you like to show Shayla around the kingdom?"

" I would be honored to."

Griffin holds out his arm as Princess Shayla takes it, they leave the castle Derek has a smile upon his face.

" Now that's how a Princess should be."

Griffin and Princess Shayla walk down the street towns people would say hello as they pass by Princess Shayla smiles back at them giving them a small wave, she turns to Griffin giving him a smile.

" Animaria is so beautiful."

" Yes, it is it's a lovely kingdom."

" Do you plan on becoming an ancient warrior as well?"

" Oh no, I don't think I could manage the stress of fighting."

" Hmm you and your sister are different."

" Aleu is my half-sister and of course we are but that makes us who we are. It's good to be different."

" Indeed."

Back at the ancient warrior's temple Pardolis stands in front of the warriors he holds up his hand the warriors stop their training turning their attention to him.

" My fellow warriors, I just received news that King Derek's daughter will be taking the throne he wants one of you to protect her at all costs."

The ancient warriors look at one another then back to Pardolis

" I have chosen two of you to be her protector. Merrick and Morgan step forward please."

Merrick and Morgan step forward looking up at Pardolis.

" I have chosen you two to be the protector for Princess Shayla, I know you two will keep her safe from harm."

Merrick nods. 

" We won't let you down Pardolis, we'll keep the Princess safe."

Morgan looks up at Pardolis worried. 

" What happened to Aleu?"

" King Derek isn't happy with her so he decided to take matters into his own hands."

" I hope she's alright."

As I walk along the path the wind shifts, I look around and realize I'm lost. I didn't realize I walked that far I shake my head letting out a sigh. 

" Nice work Aleu, take a break and you manage to get lost in the woods, great."

Just then I hear a faint voice coming from behind me I slowly turn around. 

" Hello?"

" Aleu."

" Is someone there?"

" Aleu."

I walk deeper into the forest the voice keeps calling out to me I look around some more until I come upon a cave something inside me is telling me to turn around and walk away but the voice is getting louder, I have to check it out. I step inside the cave and begin to look around.

" Aleu."

The voice keeps whispering my name I look around I then come upon a chamber there sitting on a slab is a mask, I tilt my head in confusement I slowly walk up to the slab and look down at the mask. There was something about this mask that drew me to it, I could feel the power surging through the chamber I pick up the mask examining it. I slowly raise the mask to my face putting it on, just then I hear a voice in my head.

" Hahaha finally, you are now my vessel."

I quickly take the mask off after hearing the voice in my head I look around then look down at the mask what did I just do?

" Finally, a new host and what a coincidence it's the Princess of all people how perfect. Now it's time to get my revenge but my Duke Org form is still damaged from the battle I can't change into my Duke Org form until I fully heal, I guess I'll stay like this until then."

I make my way out of the cave I run for it not looking back, I managed to find the river and follow it back home. I fear something bad is coming I hurry to the kingdom only to hear towns people screaming I hurry over to see towns people being attacked I see the ancient warriors fighting Putrids. I watch in horror as towns people are wrapped up in vines struggling for their lives just then I feel a pair of eyes on me I gasp turning I'm frozen with fear, I shouldn't be, but I can't move seeing his Org he lets out a wicked chuckle.

" Isn't this a sight to behold, look at your kingdom Princess, its coming to ruins I'll make sure Animaria ceases to exist."

" Who are you?"

" I am Master Org."

" Master Org?"

Just then I see flashbacks of Master Org and a Duke Org standing in front of each other I hold my head letting out a scream why am I having these flashbacks? I fall to my knees something inside me changes I lower my hands and slowly stand up my eyes turn yellow Master Org's jaw drops.

" Can it be? Zuleika is it you?"
