Ch.10 The Ultimate Sacrifice

Aleu's P.O.V

I sit on a branch looking out at the river I know what I must do to help get Merrick his animal crystals back even though it might cost me everything.

Cole and Morgan head out to the weeping willow tree, they look around for Aleu, but no sign of her Cole puts a hand around his mouth calling out.

" Aleu, you here?"

" What do you want?"

Morgan looks up spotting Aleu on a branch.

" We just want to talk."

" You shouldn't be near me remember; I could take your animal crystals any second."

Morgan shakes her head.

" I know you're not please Aleu we just want to talk."

" How do I know you're not playing any tricks on me, and the others won't pop out and attack"

Cole looks up at me giving me a soft look.

" No tricks, it's just us no one else."

Morgan nods in agreement.

" The others don't even know we're here."

I jump down landing in front of Cole and Morgan I cross my arms looking at them. Morgan looks at me with a soft look upon her face.

" We just want to know why you did it."

" I didn't have much of a choice, especially when you're possessed by a Duke Org. I know what I did was wrong, but I had no choice if I didn't do what Master Org and Nayzor wanted me to do they would have destroyed you in front of me one by one, I couldn't let that happen you guys were my first friends I didn't want to see you get hurt. When I developed feelings for Merrick, I wish I could have told him everything they were planning, I didn't mean for him to lose his animal crystals."

Cole looks at me with soft eyes.

" Is there a way for us to get his animal crystals back?"

" I have something in mind but there's no coming back from it."

Morgan looks at me tilting her head.

" What are you planning?"

" I can't tell you but I'm not coming back Merrick won't have to worry about me anymore."

" Let us help you."

"No, I'm not dragging you into this, what happened is my fault and I need to fix this."

I let out a breath trying to calm myself down I look at Cole and Morgan trying to hold back tears.

" Thank you both for everything, you two have been so kind to me these past few months I'm glad I could call you, my friends."

Cole looks at me furrowing his brows.

" It sounds like you're saying goodbye."

" Like I said there's no coming back could you tell Merrick that I truly am sorry for everything I know he'll listen to you guys."

Morgan nods giving me a faint smile.

" Of course, we will."

" I have to go, thank you both again for everything."

I take one final look at Cole and Morgan; I give them a slight nod I turn around walking down the riverside knowing what I must do. I make my way to the Nexus.

Cole looks over at Morgan worried.

" Should we follow her?"

" No, she knows what she has to do, come on let's get back to the Animarium.
