Caitlyn's POV

I was on my laptop, playing some Minecraft. My mom clearly wasn't going to give me a straight answer on if I could go to Hogwarts or not. I was planning on asking again at dinner.
Just as my Minecraft player was killed by another, I heard something tapping on my window. Perched on the bug screen was a black, medium sized bird that I knew was a raven. Why was a raven at my window? And was that a letter tied to her leg?
I groaned. Because of the bug screen, there was no way that the raven could get inside and give me the letter. I closed my laptop and ran to the front door.
The raven had followed me (yet was still outside) to the door. I let it inside the house, where it landed on the arm of the couch. I gently untied the letter from its leg, and read it.
GUYS.
It's Emma.
Milly, Mikayla, and Caitlyn:
MY MOM SAID NO TO A HOGWARTS LETTER. I SWEAR ON THE RIVER STYX I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP. MY PHONE IS GONE. HELP. PLEASE.
PASS IT ON TO EACH OTHER. THE RAVEN'S NAME IS MINT.
I quickly ran over to my desk with the letter and added my own note on the bottom.
We need to convince her mom!! Try to get your parents to come, and at 5:45 let's meet at Emma's house! –Caitlyn
I tied the note back onto Mint's leg. "Hey, Mint," I said softly, "can you take this to Milly Omega? Thanks," I added as Mint flew away.
