(Alex's POV)

It's been a couple of weeks after the black hole, and Ronnie's death. Caitlin was taking it so hard, and I've been trying my best to help her through it. Barry's been pushing everyone away...well not everyone. He's been trying to bond with me and even sent me to therapy. I think that's the best decision I've seen him make. It helps a lot. Minus the fact that the therapist suggested I go back to school. Make friends my own age. I hate that part. I am walking down the street right now. Getting to the CCPD. I need to go to my therapy appointment and Barry normally takes me. I got to the CCPD and walked inside to see Barry and Iris arguing about something. That's something that also changed. Barry decided to basically put Iris on pause in his life. I understand he can't FULLY cut her out since he lives with her father and is like a son to him. She gonna be in his life, but he put her on a pause when it came to BEING in his life. As in, she's not allowed to know what's going on in his life, what he plans on doing. She doesn't have a say in what he does. And sure enough, she can't intervene when it comes to me or his love life. I wonder what they are fighting about now?

(Barry's POV and before Alex showed up)

I am waiting for my daughter to get to the station, so I can take her to one of her therapy appointments when Iris shows up. She looked over at me and smiled. I've put her on a pause in my life. Basically she's not allowed to know anything about what I am doing or planning. She doesn't have a say in what I do, and she doesn't have any say in how I raise Alex. She walked over to them, acting as if I hadn't been avoiding her.

Iris: "Barry, hey."

I tightly smiled and nodded my head at her. She frowned at this, seeming annoyed.

Iris: "Come on, talk to me, Barry! You can't just shut me out!"

I rolled my eyes and looked at my watch. Alex should be getting her any time soon. Her therapist wanted me to enroll her back into school. But I knew she wouldn't like going back to her old grade, so instead I enrolled her in a college. Her professor, Clifford Devo seems to adore her and even told me that I am lucky to have a daughter as smart as she is. That made me happy that he called Alex my daughter.

Iris: "Who are you waiting for?"

Barry; "Alex."

Her eyes widened, and she then frowned and crossed her arms.

Iris; 'Barry, I thought I told you to call CPS after what happened with Dr.Wells?"

I frowned and looked at her annoyed. I wonder why she thought I would even think about doing that to my daughter.

Barry: "And I told you, Iris. I am NOT abandoning my daughter again."

She looked at me pissed off.

Iris: "Barry, you're just not ready to be a father. I'm sure down the line, in the future, you will meet someone and have a family with them. You're just not ready now, and you need to let Alex go and have a family that loves her!"

I looked at her annoyed because She was once again telling me when I was ready to be a Dad. She can't decide that for me! And from her body language, it seemed like she was insisting on being that someone. I know for well, I won't end up with Iris. I end up with Caitlin in the future, not with her. She and I will have kids. But not me and Iris. Also, I am NOT abandoning my daughter for a new family.

Barry: "I am NOT abandoning my daughter to start another family!"

She frowned and looked at me annoyed and upset. Like I can't decide for myself when I am ready to be a Dad!

Iris: "Barry, she's WAY past raising her! She's 14!" (A/N: I say 14, because a year passed in season 1, and it would make no sense to keep her 13 forever.)
