Kinkajou looked down at the small hybrid dragonet before her on the mountain top. She couldn't believe what she had just done. That this little harmless dragonet had once murdered half of the Icewing army.
Finally, I did something... something dragons will remember. HAH! Take that Mr Monster pants! Taken down by a ittle wittle Rainwing. Who's insignificant now?
She looked around at her friends. No her new best friends. They all looked back at her, surprise in their expressions. Oh no what did I do?
"Um, Kinkajou... why is he so, um... multi-coloured?" Moon said, pointing out that the little dragonet had a little ruff and had other multi-coloured scales under his wings.
"I maaaaay have made him half Rainwing. Sorry I just thought that because he stole the Nightwings from Queen Glory, that he would be part one of them. Ironic right?" she said with a little grin.
"Well that's going to be hard to explain to the rest of the tribe..." Foeslayer said, the dragonet nibbling her claws. She was looking at the dragonet that used to be her son. "What are we going to name him?"
Hmm...Talonlicker...Night-time...Hometaker...Gibbon...Shine...Kinkajou jr...
"What about Peacemaker?" Moon said, and everyone nodded. Well not as good as Kinkajou jr, but Peacemaker is still a good name. Kinkajou nodded in agreement. Foeslayer smiled and pulled Peacemaker closer.
"But wait, it will be hard explaining your name. Maybe we need to make you one to." Qibli said, in his matter-of-fact face.
"That won't be necessary. I already have one in mind." Foeslayer said. "Hope. I like the sound it."
Moon smiled and looked over at Kinkajou, like she was her hero or something. "I can't believe just saved all of dragon kind. Kinkajou, you amazing little monkey. Your a real friend..." she looked down at Peacemaker who was playing around with a butterfly. "At least you tell me the truth."
If only you knew...
Kinkajou hadn't told her friends the last bit of the enchantment. That when Peacemaker became whole, Darkstalker's soul would become trapped in her hibiscus flower. She picked the flower gently from her pouch, guilt surging through her scales. She tucked it safely back into her pouch, making sure that it's petals would never be harmed.
For now a monster is contained...
