Asty's POV

"Are you the new soul?" I heard her voice when someone enters my room. Agad akong bumangon at pinagmasdan siyang papalapit sa'kin. Her clothes seemed like normal compared to those four and unlike them, she never had a necklace na makapapagsasabi what enchant she possesses. Yun kasi ang napansin ko sa apat kanina habang ma-susi ko silang pinagmamasdan.

"Hi, I'm Erina, a healer." she said. Umupo siya sa gilid ng kama ko at tiningnan ako sa mata. I feel like nilulunod niya ako sa mga titig na yun subalit hindi na lang ako nagpatinag.

"Princess Sophane and the nobles told me your situation before nila akong ipadala dito." she added, kaya naman pala ganyan niya ako tingnan cause' she knows that I don't have enchants.

I'm just a normal soul, y'all.

"You okay?"

"Ha?" naguguluhang tanong ko.

"Alam kong gulat ka sa mga nangyayari so you can ask me anything para malinawan ka." tugon niya. Anong ibig niyang sabihin? Bakit yung apat kanina, pinipilit nila akong may enchant ako at hindi ako makakapasok dito kung wala yun. Pinipilit nila akong alalahanin daw ang lahat which is anong aalalahanin ko eh hindi naman ako nakalimot?

But why this girl, seemed so calm and even let me ask her anything?

"Normal souls can't enter Amestris, right?" tanging naitanong ko na lang. She nodded at me and smiled so sweetly.

"So bakit ako nandito?" kasunod na tanong ko.

"Lahat din kami dito ay nagulat kasi after twenty years, the gatekeepers detect an enchant from a normal soul. They said when a mortal died, it's either they died normally or they died without them realizing that they produce enchants. So? When your soul separated from your body, the gatekeepers detect you so they put you here." she explained, tahimik lang akong nakikinig sa paliwanag niya. She's explaining it calmly hindi katulad nung apat na pinipilit talaga nila ako.

Yung tipong pinamumukha nila sa'king may amnesia daw ako kaya hindi ko sila maintindihan.

"So you mean,yeah I know I died normally but, I didn't know and I'm not aware that I release enchant, that's why the gatekeepers detect me and put me here?"paglilinaw ko. Tumango ulit siya sa pangalawang pagkakataon.

"But I never met the gatekeepers. How can I enter here if hindi ako dumaan sa kanila?" curious na tanong ko. Hindi ko nasabi sa apat ang bagay na ito kanina and I don't know why this healer seemed so shocked.

"You never met them?" hagas na tanong niya na ikinagulat ko. She looked so tensed and halos hindi mapakali sa pagkakaupo.

"They didn't mentioned it. But that's impossible, yun lang kasi ang lagusan from the path you came from. There's only one path from mortal world going through here then towards heaven. You stopped here at hindi ka na pina-deretso pa sa heaven, that is because of the gatekeepers." litaniya niya, saglit ulit siyang natigilan at napansin na mas lalo siyang napaisip dahil sa sinabi ko.

"Those four told me na iginigiit mo daw na hindi ka naman nagka-amnesia?" she asked kaya tumango ako.

"I remember what happened to me. After I died, dito na ako nagising." tapat na saad ko.

"So hindi mo din alam yung time na humiwalay ang katawan mo sa soul mo? Hindi mo rin alam ang paglalakad mo sa path?" she asked kaya umiling ako. Ngayon ko lang narinig ang about sa path na yun kasi hindi naman siya nabanggit nung apat kanina.

Is she talking about the stairway to heaven? Yun yata siguro.

"That's the reason why I don't know why I'm here. Here's my situation, okay, hindi ko alam if I really released enchant or not before I died pero isa lang alam ko, wala akong enchant. So baka, yun ang rason kung bakit hindi ko na-meet ang gatekeepers kasi wala naman talaga akong enchant. Wala silang na-detect sa'kin. Automatic lang akong nagising dito." mahabang paliwanag ko, tumango-tango naman siya sa sinabi ko at tiningnan ako ng seryoso.
