Y/n's POV

All of the senior counsellors were gathered around the ping pong table in the rec room, like usual. By the time Percy, Annabeth, Chiron and I came in though, everyone was shouting. Clarisse was in full battle gear with her electric spear strapped to her back and her boar shaped helmet under her arm. She was in the middle of arguing with Michael Yew, the new head counsellor for Apollo, who had taken over after Lee Fletcher died in the battle last summer.

"It's our loot!" Michael yelled. "If you don't like it, you can kiss my quiver!"

Around the table, people were trying not to laugh because Michael was so much shorter than Clarisse that he had to look up at her. The group of senior counsellors had changed so much since last summer. Obviously Michael had taken over for Lee. But now Jake Mason had taken over for the Hephaestus cabin, and Pollux was all alone for the Dionysus cabin. Other than that, it was Katie Gardner for the Demeter cabin and Silena Beauregard for the Aphrodite cabin.

"Stop it!" Percy shouted. "What are you guys doing?"

Clarisse glowered at Percy. "Tell Michael not to be a selfish jerk."

"Oh, that's perfect, coming from you," Michael retorted.

"The only reason I'm here is to support Silena! Otherwise I'd be back in my cabin," Clarisse claimed.

Percy frowned. "What are you talking about?"

"Clarisse refuses to speak to any of us until her issue is resolved. It's been three days," I disclose. "So maybe, Clarisse, with a war looming over us, you can stop being a child and drop the issue."

"Don't even start with me, Squirt," Clarisse grumbled.

"Squirt? Really? You're brining that nickname up again? My gods, I thought we got past that years ago!" I exclaim.

"Okay, hold on," Percy interrupted. "What issue?"

"You're in charge, right Chiron? Does my cabin get what we want or not?" Clarisse quizzed.

"My dear, as I've already explained, Michael is correct. Apollo's cabin has the best claim. Besides, we have more important matters-"

"Sure," Clarisse snapped. "Always more important matters than what Ares needs. We're just supposed to show up and fight when you need us and not complain! You know, maybe I should just ask Mr. D-"

"As you know," Chiron intervened. "Our director Dionysus is busy with the war. He can't be bothered with this."

"I see. And the senior counsellors? Are any of you going to side with me?" Clarisse inquired. When no one responded, Clarisse growled and threw a knife on the ping pong table. "All of you can fight this war without Ares. Until I get satisfaction, no one in my cabin is lifting a finger to help. Have fun dying."

"Good riddance," Michael murmured once Clarisse had stormed out of the room.

"Are you kidding? This is a disaster!" Katie yelped.

"She can't be serious, can she?" Travis implored.

Chiron sighed. "Her pride has been wounded. She'll calm down eventually. Now, if you please, counsellors. Percy has brought something I think you should hear. Percy – the Great Prophecy."

"A half blood of the eldest gods
Shall reach sixteen against all odds.
And see the world in endless sleep,
The hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap.
A single choice shall end his days,
Olympus to preserve or raze."

"Raise is good, isn't it?" Connor pointed out.

"Not raise. R-a-z-e," Silena spelled out. "It means destroy."
