Nick parked at my place after he had literally a whole car ride saying he had something to do tomorrow and couldn't stay over. 

I had so much power against him, it's honestly kinda scary. 

As I entered my house, I called out for Kai. Autumn was creeping up on my legs the moment I entered and it made me question if Kai was home. 

It was 8 pm and even if it weren't, Kai would be up and keeping Autumn next to them. 

"Kai?" I picked Autumn up into my arms and paced up the stairs. 

Nick had settled in the living room for now. He was simply on his phone while on the couch as I looked for them. 

It was unlike Kai to leave the house without a text or anything. They are scared of the dark to be going out walking alone and scared of dying on the drive to even drive alone. Hell, they are even scared of being home alone but somehow they pull it off by hanging out with Autumn.

That's when I saw the note on the kitchen counter.

Brother's in town, I'll be gone til around 1 or 2 am. He wants to fucking DRINK. 

Autumn meowed and I realize that I've been gone all day. Based on Autumn's body movement, she hasn't eaten in hours. 

"Oh my poor baby" I cooed while walking towards the kitchen cupboards to get her some food. "Nick, we're home alone for 5 to 6 hours." 

"Oh?" 

I didn't even bother to read Nick's tone because I already knew what he was thinking. I was too busy just watching my baby eat her food. 

I'd choose this cat over Nick every single day. 

"Daphne are we having sex? I'm tired, I wanna sleeeeep" He said in the background and it had completely ruined the moment. 

"Wasn't planning to" And I really wasn't. 

Most of the time we get to that because Nick plans to. I don't even feel that unless he feels it too. I know it seems kinda bad that we do it whenever he wants it but I genuinely never get the hots for him unless he gets it for me first. 

Nick walks over to the island behind me and just leans on the counter while looking at me crouching in front of Autumn. 

Now you're probably wondering how I know that when he is behind me, but this man tries to be sneaky when his footsteps are louder than when Autumn accidentally got her paw stuck on the door. 

"Wanna do something fun?" 

I perked up at him, still in my crouching position. Every time he says some stupid shit like that, I don't know what he's thinking. This can range from playing minecraft together to having one of us tied to the bed while the other one whipped the fuck out of the other. 

We ended up making out. 

For a really fucking long time. 

It was the type of make out that you would typically have in a high school hallway. 

You know, like a rough make out but not rough enough to have sex. 

Plus I could feel him getting sleepy just from doing this. 

And I would much rather have him asleep from making out than him pitching in the most stupid ideas ever. With his brain, I wouldn't be surprised if he suggested we burn a forest together. 

"I feel like I'm back in high school with my 21 year old boyfriend who repeated high school like 4 times." That just translated to why the fuck are we making out for so long I feel gross.
