() ━━━━━ SHIEMI DIDN'T SAY ANOTHER WORD AFTER THAT. The girl had refused to talk after admitting that she had attempted suicide, but she failed.

Dazai didn't know when she attempted which is what scared him. It could've been hours after their first encounter, and he wouldn't have cared.

But it could've been mere hours ago when she was missing from the park, and that bothered him.

"Shiemi," He hesitated to even call her name. "When did you?"

She remained silent, still avoiding eye contact. The girl didn't want to further talk about it— letting him know that she had tried was enough, she didn't want to explain the details. She was still alive and breathing.

"Fine... Just don't respond." Dazai took steps back from the girl and stared at her, his brows furrowed. "I'll talk to you later then, I need some time." He didn't give her a second to process what he had just said and walked away, leaving her behind.

He couldn't be near her. He had been keeping himself busy with her and other things to not have even thought about it properly.

She wasn't the same as him though.

Dazai left the girl on her own, standing inside the alleyway with her back to the cold brick wall. He never saw the singular tear that left the almost always emotionless girl.

He had subconsciously walked in the direction of Chuuya's home. He didn't realize where he was until he saw that he was right in front of his door. A sigh left his lips as he had no choice but to knock, he was already there.

Chuuya answered the door mere seconds later, his eyebrows raised once he saw the boy standing there. "Osamu." He breathed out in surprise.

"Chuuya," He greeted back, his features now relaxed. His prior emotion now hidden from him. "Could I come in?"

Without saying a word, he moved to the side; allowing Dazai to enter his home. No matter how often they had gotten into fights he was still always welcomed.

The boys made their way into his living room, both taking a seat on their two respective couches. Relaxing against the soft surface, Dazai let out a sigh of relief that he had been holding in.

"Sometimes i'm surprised that you still let me in." Dazai's brown hues looked from his lap to his, an unreadable look in his eyes. "Don't you ever just want to say no?"
