It's been a few days since you came to the mansion. You met almost all the residents, except for Will. Some stayed away from you in fear of hurting or simply because they are cold and cranky, while others took time from their busy schedule to speak and interact with you.
You did all the chores that Sebastian gave to you and completed them with ease. Sebastian usually gave you easy chores since you just got here and you were 13. You were in the library and dusting the shelves when you heard a loud crash near you. You ran over to where the sound was coming from and saw Leonardo buried in the pile of books. Leonardo began cursing in Italian and noticed you standing there, holding a duster, looking down at him with confused looks.
He smiles and says "Cara, can you help me?" with a grin and begins removing the books.
"What happened?" you asked, concerned that he was on the floor. Suddenly Isaac came through the door and replied "He probably fell asleep again." as he walked over to the table and took a seat. 'So he just falls asleep anywhere randomly?' you asked yourself. "Sorry for that, Y/n." he said with a smile as he stood up and walked over to pat your shoulder but you flinched from his touch. He was confused at first but just let it go.
The days continued in the mansion and when you did something that made people proud, amazed or happy, they tried to give you a pat on the back or gently pat your head. However when they try to touch you in any way possible, you flinch and the residents take note of this.
One rainy day, you and Sebastian were doing dishes when you dropped a plate and it shattered.
Sebastian was about to scold you until he heard a small sob and you began shaking and dropping to your knees.
"I'm so so so sorry, Sebastian" you sobbed out with your voice cracking. You tried to pick up the pieces but let out a pained sob and cut yourself with the sharp shard of the plate. He felt terrible and carefully kneeled to look at your hand when you pulled away quickly. You kept letting out gasps to stop yourself from crying, luckily Vincent heard you muffled sobs and came rushing in.
Once you calmed down and Vincent helped wrap your wound, you tried to get up to go clean the mess but Vincent stopped you before you could even go back into the kitchen. Luckily Sebastian cleaned up and gestured to Vincent to leave.
"Why did you start having a panic attack?" he asked softly while rubbing your shoulder to encourage you to speak. You were hesitant but replied with "My ___ would beat me when I did something wrong.." you said quietly while rubbing your arm where your scars and bruises were.
Sebastian told Comte and everyone but told them not to mention it to you.
Vincent felt so bad for you as did everyone else since they had trauma from things that happened in the past.
