Ghost's POV
As he yelled at Ivy, the voice in his head begged him to stop but he kept going. His anger issues always got the best of him. Ghost only snapped out of it when he saw Ivy back away from him with tears in her eyes. "Ivy... I didn't mean that.. I..." Ivy turned around and ran upstairs. After he heard a door slam, he saw the rest of the team come down the stairs. Soap was the first one to make it into the living room where Ghost stood, "What the fuck is wrong with you Lt." his tone sounded serious for once. "Not now Johnny." Ghost walked out the front door with Soap following him, closing the door behind him. "Lt. you need to apologize to her, now." "I didn't mean it." Ghost responded softly.
One week later
Ivy kept her distance from Ghost, still upset at what he said. I don't have to deal you with you anymore. They repeated in her head all day, and kept her up at night. If he entered a room, she left and if she didn't go into a room her occupied. Maybe I'm being too petty. He still hadn't apologized but tried to talk to her once a few days ago, but she ignored him. Soap and Valeria talked to her about forgiving him but she was too stubborn.
After complaining they were bored again, Price sent some packages to the team to keep them occupied. Ivy, Soap, and Gaz sat on the floor to sort through them, Valeria, Rodolfo and Rudy were on day watch. Setting them aside, Soap pulled out books and magazines. "This is Price's idea of fun?" he teased. Ivy rolled her eyes playfully, pulling out more stuff. She picked up a rope, tennis ball and stuffed animal. Seeing these Ivy thought of her dog, Toast. She had no idea if she was alive or not. Tears built up in her eyes when she heard a knock on the door. Soap stood up, placing his hand on his handgun that was strapped to his hip. When he opened the door, Ivy saw golden hair. It was Toast. She jumped off the floor to greet her best friend. Toast jumped on Ivy and whined with excitement. Followed by Toast, was Price. Soap and Gaz played with Toast as Ivy walked over to Price. "Thank you Dad." she said sarcastically. "You're welcome kid." She hugged him and walked away excitedly with Soap, Gaz and Toast out the back door to play with Toast. Ghost stood at the bottom of the stairs, watching Ivy see her best friend again. Seeing her smile and being that happy was all Ghost really wanted. Price walked over to Ghost, "I thought you couldn't find the dog?" Ghost asked smugly. "I wanted to surprise her and check in on you all, I also have some news. Call the team to the living room." Ghost walked away to get the team for a briefing Price.
Ghost's POV
Gathered in the living room, the team listened to Price's updates. "Alright team, we've got a location on Graves. He's nearby. Another team will be here for extra security for Ivy." Ghost turned his attention towards Ivy who was actively ignoring him. Price continued, "Laswell has a plan but it's highly dangerous. I told her it was up to the team..." he paused, and exhaled heavily, "and Ivy." He turned towards her. What the fuck... Ivy spoke was soft, "W-why me?" Ghost stood up, "Price don't fucking think about it." "Ghost it's Laswell's plan, not mine." "Tell her no!" "She's in charge, I can't do that." Ivy grew impatient as Price and Ghost argued. "Someone tell me what the hell is going on?!" Soap stood, "Laswell wants to use her as bait, doesn't she?" his voice grew angry as he spoke. Ivy's face turned white. "Price this isn't fucking happening!" Ghost yelled once more. Ivy spoke before Price could yell back. "Would it work? I mean what are chances of it failing?" "Ivy you're not.." "Ghost it's not your decision. If this works we all get to go home, I won't be your problem anymore." The tension was thick as Price spoke, "There's a chance it could fail. But with the positions we've got planned, it's not likely he'll take you." Price explained the plan to her. Ivy sat for a minute to think about what Price and Laswell were asking her. "When would it happen?" she softly asked Price. "In 2 days." Ivy nodded. "Okay.. I'll do it." "Ivy, no you won't Price, get Laswell and tell her to think of so..." "Ghost! You don't made decisions for me." Ivy shouted, cutting Ghost off. He looked at her in disbelief. He walked towards her and grabbed her arm and pulled her into his room.
