Chapter 3

Ghost's POV

Ghost, Soap and Gaz walked to the briefing room together. General Laswell and Captain Price called for an emergency meeting. When they got there, Alejandro, Rudy, and Valeria were already sitting around the table. He got along perfectly fine with Alejandro and Rodolfo, but he was still unsure of Valeria. Two years ago, she was the enemy, but she helped Task Force 141 take down a lot of dangerous people. If Price and Laswell trusted her, he would try to.

As Ghost, Soap and Gaz sat down, Price began to speak.

"Thank you all for coming on short notice. We have a job. Early this morning a woman was abducted from the Isabell National Park. We need to find her."

Valeria: "Those mountains are thick, dense. How are we supposed to find her?"

Gaz: "Wait, you said she was kidnapped? Why does that involve us? Who is she?"

Laswell: "We're more concerned about who took her."

Price: "Graves took her. He had help from two of his Shadows."

Ghost: "Fuckin' hell."

Alejandro: "Graves? Phillip Graves? He's dead, no?"

Laswell: "We assumed so. His body was never identified so it's possible it's him. We received information an hour after the incident occurred from an informant."

Gaz: "How reliable is it?"

Price: "Got something better to do? It's reliable enough. Gear up, we leave in an hour."

Ivy's POV

Ivy didn't move out of fear. A tall, Hispanic looking man with black slicked back hair came in from the left with a gun drawn. The man looked at Ivy, then spoke Spanish into the radio on his left shoulder. Then spoke to her, "What's your name sweetheart?" She looked at the man, unsure if he was with Phillip or not. She stuttered as she spoke, "I-Ivy.. My n-name is Ivy." The man spoke into the radio again, "Found her."

A man that wore a skull mask over a black bacalava came in after, and walked towards her. Ivy backed away quickly from him as he got close, tears rolling down her face. He put his gun down on the floor and put his hands up as he got on one knee. "It's okay, I'm here to help you." He spoke with a deep, almost harsh British accent. It oddly comforted Ivy. She got up and quickly walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his neck. He put an arm around her waist, reaching for his gun with the other. He threw his gun over his free shoulder and pulled her off of his neck gently. "You're safe with me, alright? I'm Ghost." Ivy nodded her head, still having tears roll down her face. Ghost? "Calm down for me. Breath, love, breath." Ivy took a few deep breaths before he spoke again. "There's a good girl." He turned to the man that came in first, "Let's move, Alejandro." The man nodded stepped aside. Ghost turned back towards Ivy, lowering his voice significantly. "Alright I'm sorry but we have to put this back on your head, okay?" He held out the black sack. Ivy shook her head violently, "Please don't make me put it back on." Her body began to shake violently. The man with the mask put his hands on her arms lightly, speaking slowly, "I know love, I'm sorry but we have to make sure Graves doesn't see you leave. I'm here to keep you safe and that's what I'm going to do." Tentatively, she agreed, and he carefully put the sack on her head. A hand grabbed hers and she panicked. The banging grew louder, getting closer. Ivy tried to pull her hand away and yelled, "G-Ghost?!" The hand squeezed hers, "I'm here. It's me." Ghost pulled her gently forward to follow him.

After walking for a little, she heard a door open and close. The sack was pulled off her head and she looked around in a haze. Once her vision was clear, she saw she was in an empty room with a group of people standing in front of her, Ghost being amongst them. She looked up at Ghost in front of her, scared, he towered over her. Ghost spoke softly but swiftly, "We're leaving in a car. I'm gonna put this back over your head but do not fight me. I'm gonna hold your hand again, do not pull away from me. Clear?" His words turned slightly harsh, but Ivy wasn't taken aback by them. Ivy nodded and the sack was put back on. Ghost gave orders, "Soap, Gaz in the car. Alejandro, Rudy and Valeria, give us cover. Evac ETA is 2 minutes. Go!" A hand grabbed hers again. She was relieved she knew who it was and held it back tightly. Ghost led her away.
