It had been two weeks since Ghost Team rescued Ivy. Price and Laswell were deep in the search for Graves and his Shadows. They also needed to figure out how they knew about their plan when Ivy was captured. Alejandro and Rudy called Los Vaqueros for help with Graves.
Ghost attended to Ivy all day and night, only letting Valeria help her as she slept. Ivy gained some of her weight back and her external injuries were all healed. The internal injuries were still healing. Price repeatedly asked her to talk to a therapist, but she refused. Not because she didn't think it would help, but because she only wanted to talk to Valeria about what happened. She didn't want to tell Ghost the details, they could only talk lightly about it. She didn't want him to go on another rampage. His hands still weren't fully healed from his last one, one finger still broken, and his knuckles still bruised.
Ivy's POV
Standing outside, Ivy was playing fetch with Toast as Ghost stood next to her. "Simon?" "Yes?" "When are you going to let me be alone?" she smiled. "I just want to make sure you're okay." "Rudy said I'm fine, just not in the head." Ghost laughed softly, then his voice turned serious, "How are the nightmares?" Ivy sighed, "They're not much better, Valeria said I was crying and screaming in my sleep again." Ghost nodded sadly, "That's how it was for me, too." Ivy looked down at her feet when Ghost grabbed her hand and kissed it. "Can I ask another question?" she said quickly. Ghost rolled his eyes teasingly, "What is it?" "When can we um..." Ghost let go of her hand. "Ivory we talked about this." He said frustrated. "Simon, I'm fine, really." Ghost sighed, "I just want to make sure nothing will happen." Ivy nodded in defeat but understood why he didn't want to. He bent over, freeing his lips from the bacalava and kissed her.
Ghost's Flashback
The Day Ivy was Kidnapped
After watching Ivy being taken away from him, his chest felt like it was going to explode. For the first time in his life, he wished he was in a nightmare. His breathing was chaotic, his eyes filling with tears of regret and anger. His mind yelled at him to move but his feet wouldn't budge. The world around him was muffled in his ear, Price shouting at him through the radio. "Ghost?!" The feeling in his heart was unbearable; one that he never thought he would feel again. When his mind slowed down enough to process a though, he spoke into the radio, "Price. They've got Ivy." "Get to Soap's position now." Ghost turned, heading towards where Soap was at.
When he reached Soap's position, he saw Soap sitting on the ground with Valeria standing over him, and the others surrounding them. He had blood all over his head and face. "What the fuck happened Price?!" "They knew we were there. I need to call Laswell. Get back to the fucking house, now."
Back at the House
Walking into her office Price raised his voice, "Laswell, it fucking failed. Ivy is gone and Soap is bleeding from his head. They knew we were there." "I'm looking into it, John." There was seriousness in her voice. "How's Soap?" "He'll live. We need to get Ivy back, NOW." "We'll figure that out, but now we..." "NO Kate, we need to do that now." "John I can't get her back if we don't know where Graves is." "Well figure it out before Ghost kills someone." There was a long pause before Price spoke, "The team..." "What?" "The men that sat with Ivy when we were gone, check into them. I need to get back to the house."
Price's POV
Price finally made it back to the house where the team was waiting impatiently. The team except Ghost sat in the front room when he walked into the living room. "How you doing Soap?" "Fine sir, when we going after Ivy?" Before he could answer, Ghost was walking into the room, his boots making loud knocks on the floor. "What the fuck Price?! What happened?!" Price's mind raced for an answer but couldn't get one. There wasn't any reason to believe the plan would've failed so massively. Ghost launched at Price, Gaz and Alejandro held him back as he yelled at him, "Get her back Price. And fucking quick." Ghost's voice was harsh, and rage filled. "Laswell is looking into the team that replaced you guys for a week." Price sighed heavily. "She's also looking for Graves. All we can do is wait for her call." Ghost shouted again, "How long is that gonna take!? This is her fault and it's been hours since." Gaz spoke as he let Ghost go, "She better call soon. God knows what he'll do to her."
